I’d hanker a guess that most of us here have zero problem with 32 on gravel, rigid mtb, hardtails, and XC race bikes but we’re very wary of it going into disciplines with travel above those. Some of us got bamboozled by 150mm+ 29ers only to have to buy new bikes yet again to get the handling we want out of a mullet bike. We’re tired boss. It doesn't seem that low. New Spur has 39mm drop in high and 47 in low. Epic 8 evo also has it around 40 in low. Maybe they also spec 165mm cranks because they are focused on the downhill vs just being a quick climbing xc bike. At least for this bike, probably want to keep the bike light, so no adjustable chainstay.

Technically the kinematics across frame sizes would have to be different anyway. Antisquat is dependant on the height of the CoG which is different depending in the rider height (and position). But yeah, that would make bikes even more expensive.

From what I have heard, Slayer is turning into an 200mm park bike with a silhouette like the current altitude. Wish they would have revived the Flatline namesake for it.

Annual winter project: Finished. Meet the 'Ghetto-Enduro' Summum. It’s now rocking an 11-36t cassette and—as you can clearly see—a 'technically wireless' 125mm dropper. I’m still a bit unsure about the chain length, so I'll need to double-check that it doesn't max out in the 36t cog when a heavy rider is sitting comfortably in the saddle. As for the seatpost, I looked at a 175mm Reverb AXS, but at that price point, it’s literally cheaper to just buy a second bike. She’s not pretty, but she’s my weapon of choice for Finale Ligure for this spring.

I also have the flash 38 but it’s being tested by a media company right now so I have a loaner zeb. Intend doesn’t care to send media samples for testing so I loaned my own for testing.

I've honestly been pretty thrilled with my Hope Evo GR4 brakes. Paired with the Galfer ebike pads and TRP RS05E 2.3mm rotors and offer tons of stopping power and lots of modulation. I'm about 205-210lb geared up and they have no problem stopping my fat ass on my ebike. Once I get my dh bike back together I'm gonna pair the new Lewis AX lever with the maven caliper and see if that offers a little more stopping power. Don't see a reason to go back to the stock maven lever at this point, maybe they'd be improved with that...

As a former teenage manitou fanboi, I keep hoping that I will see their stuff on more team bikes. It’s been great seeing Aeon running their stuff either way

I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.
