Spoiler alert: EVERYTHING breaks. Companies design as best they can within the tolerances their design will accommodate and their margins can afford. Communicating clearly there are limits is proactive, nothing more. I recall designing custom bikes for big chonky boys (eg 150kg plus) and in addition to specifying a limit we also specified very frequent service inspections, because at that size anything can catastrophically fail. I recall seeing one dude every week for bolt checks etc.

Medium-travel Yeti incoming. Release iminent. Long-chainstay fans rejoice: Size L has a 450mm rear center. Geometry is very middle-of-the-road otherwise, in a good way. Size L has 480mm reach. Stack could be a little taller, I guess (- 635mm for Size L).

I've been on these so long its like waking out of a coma seeing that the alternatives are $200 Only have 3 pairs left and seems like there are only small sizes of the DH left R.I.P.

So anyone has an explanation for this? Flight attendant module on a fox fork. Dont think the Sid 35mm cartridge fits a 34 fox fork. So has someone modified a 32mm sid sl cartridge to fit a fox 34? Or is rockshox/sram doing something we dont know about yet? Apparently there was a flight attendant "event" yesterday at different dealers. I've heard that they are bringing out different levels of that suspension, so its not only on the ultimate stuff - Could they have made a flight attendant unit that fits other forks/brands as well..? Obviously it can be just...

I've been waiting on Session frame for warranty replacement since December 2025. Word is that the Session frames were embroiled in this whole forced labour dispute and are therefore stuck sitting in a shipping container in port somewhere. First, Trek said they'd deliver the replacement session in February Then that was delayed to May. Then that was delayed to November. Then that was delayed until "Sometime in 2027".... Needless to say, this was pretty ridiculous, so they ended up giving me a Marlin+ e-bike instead of the Session frame. And I'm now in the market for a new DH frame.

The Tallboy was often proclaimed the "the downhiller's XC bike." The last Blur was very race-focused, whereas this one seems to have gone a little but towards "trail" –– the opposite direction, but same destination, as the latest Tallboy, ironically. People seem to be a bit upset about the weight gain, but the weight remains towards the top of the class if I'm not mistaken. I'm more skeptical of the slackening of the HA, but maybe the "pros" of that outweigh the "cons" for the target audience, and it's now close to the Epic –– it's most direct and common...
