I have an unreleased 140/150mm bike in the shop that comes stock with a Fox 36 and Mavens type build kit with a completely new inline fox shock with the bike manufacturers logo on it and a HUGE air can. It's very strange to see an inline shock on a build like this so I'm interested in whats going on with it. Apparently next week we'll know. It kind of looks like an RP23 with a high volume air can but 1.5x the size

To add to the thrread derailment, i recently got an Ochain and it definitely does something. The rear of the bike is almost completely silent now (even with stfubike there was still some slapping around) and all the little tugging on the pedals that you get accustomed to is gone, which you only really notice when it’s not there anymore. Did ochain solve world hunger, pedal kickback and chainslap all in one? No but it made my bike quieter and smoother, so it was worth the money in my books. on a raaw madonna with 36t DT 350 hubs

if this has been discussed, sorry. i can delete. has anyone talked about greg's norco w/ the aluminum rear end stiffened with a carbon wrap since fort william? as seen in our pit bits video. "it may be too stiff, but we're going to try." do they just scuff up the stays and vacuum bag the carbon/resin around it? pretty bonkers

I was curious also. Here is a speculative guess based on the newer enduromtb test. We know the input force is the same, so the fluid pressure is very useful. Mt7: 42.7bar; XT: 55.7bar. XT/Mt7 can produce 55.7/42.7 = 1.30 times the oil pressure of the mt7. Using a XT/mt7 setup then should produce about 1.3*216Nm (sinter green pads) = about 281Nm. More than Trickstuff... (This is assuming linearity of friction force vs Clamping force and ignoring the effects of increased heat) I also made some longer levers for shimano brakes that are 30% longer, so either you can pull...

Spoiler alert: Levo sl: Most like a normal bike, rides just like stumpy Evo (in a good way) but with better ride quality. Most fun and yet still capable. I was the one who broke the Scalpel, and I’m not surprised I did - overshot the landing of a large jump for an XC bike, landing in the pocket between the landing and the flat ground after it. Huge bottom out. I corrected Kaz at Pinkbike’s quote - he had flatteringly guessed me to be 190lbs, whereas I am 220lbs. Nothing fishy. I wholeheartedly believe the Scalpel is fit for purpose and that it was my fault! Was having far too much fun and got carried away.
