I rode my ebike a lot the first year, then got kinda bored. Most people I used to ride all mountain with on normal bikes are now riding more enduro on ebikes and it's not my thing. I don't care much about going fast either up or down, I care more about being in movement through the landscape. I wanted an ebike to make the ride longer (and less painful), not faster and steeper. Thanks for the recommendation but the Sharks are really pricey. I could pick up 2 Dachle HDs from R2 for just a little more than 1 Shark from Lordgun. Definitely interested, but they are a wee bit costly.

The Dachle HD is a great rotor. Not sure how it does it but it interfaces really well with Top Brake Premium Gold pads using Dominion A4 calipers. Can do a little stoppie without body input. HS2s have been disappointing. Looking for a replacement, unfortunately can only purchase more Dachle HD rotors from r2 or bike24 and need to purchase several to make it worthwhile. Wish there was a comparable rotor for the same cost in the US. I see Galfer a lot, but the rotors cost double or more.

I'm not anti innovation, but I am pro choice. Having choices removed is a step backwards IMO.

The Ripley of yesteryear is officially dead. No longer a light XC bike that could shred trails with 120mm. Now a 130mm bike that's pretty heavy and is actually the exact same frame as the Ripmo (just different clevis and shock between the two frames). This plus weird geo changes... Ibis trying to stay afloat/be profitable by selling two bikes with the same frame--just swapping a part and shock.

I’ve been running them with the TRP rotors that are 2.3mm No issues, they do pretty well at staying straight and big fan of the gel style coating on the arms to prevent rusting

Somehow deleted the bit about the Trickstuff Dachle HD 203mm rotor I run on my front Cominion brake setup when I edited this. Basically boiled down to the Dachle HD works great with the Dominion A4 caliper. It actually had more grip/pad interface for friction than the 200mm HS2 rotor I run on the rear. Same brake setup and pads front/rear. I also finally swapped out the rear brake line and the supposed Hayes compatible banjos and bolt are not at all. Bolt definitely does not work with Dominions although it claimed to on the website. Ended up reusing the...
