It's a refreshing change when they let the person on the marketing team who actually understands mountain biking handle the mountain bike aspect of a "lifestyle" vehicle ad. And likely in this case they don't just understand it; they're deep in the weeds. Who outside of the sport has heard of Frameworks? Hey look what I found in the parts bin: This was one of the last things I worked on at RS before I left... goal was to control big hits by weakening or slowing down the return of the air spring. I run my setup with a lot of spring and no damping, so getting bucked on big hits is part of the deal. This thing 'gulps' all the air in the positive chamber on compression and lets it out with a tiny delay (since it all has to go through the tiny hole to get out). No delay on...

I've settled into my new digs at uni, and I've been told the uni DMLS printer only works with Alloy so my steel design won't be needed. Bit of a shame, but I'll live, i think I will have to be making my own tubes out of prepreg carbon sheets though. Making my own custom tubes is risky but gives me a lot of opportunities to control more parameters on my build. I'll see how things go from here.

Also odd that they don't show what the internal rim width is or even a basic cross section of the rim? They look wide, but what's the internal width which will affect your tires shape when inflated. How wide is the shoulder the bead sits on? is it wide or something narrow that will burp easily? They also look kinda shallow, I've never had much luck with shallow rims lasting, in my riding experience the shallow rims are the ones I kill the most easily. Can't say they are filling me with trust/confidence without basic info like that.

It sure would be interesting to know which catalogue wheel this is, because the way the sticker radius doesn't match the rim screams "we bought these at 200$ and are selling them at 800$" I know this thread isn't supposed to be about opinions but come on at least match the radii
