7/8/2025 12:51pm I think Jackson is on a medium these days. Seems that would be the right size not a size up for him? Would love so see someone create a database comparison with riders height and bike dimensions.

7/8/2025 12:49pm Not including sales tax always seems like a dumb thing to do. At least to everyone else in the world. What you see is what you pay, that makes more sense.

7/8/2025 9:23am Heavy lever pull is bad. Heavy lever pull as a consequence of a progressive leverage ratio that gives a lot of pad retract AND a lot of power is a good thing. You can't have everything... As for variable leverage ratio (lever feel), Lewis actually does this...

7/8/2025 8:11am It's really funny that SRAM's sponsored elite riders are going for a setup that's less bitey with a lighter lever feel, because I got downvoted to hell on the other site for saying that the initial heavy bite was a bad thing.

7/8/2025 8:11am So Sram are playing with a lighter pull setup... Even though "everyone" swears blind that the heavy pull is the bESt thINg EvAr. This U-turn is nearly as funny as the "we will never make a mineral oil brake". They would make an incredible political party with plays like this.

7/8/2025 8:10am Based on where that 2mm bolt sits, it looks like they've reworked the SwingLink (26 in first diagram) to be more like the Pushrod (18 in second diagram) in the Base lever. Appears that it's adjustable as well. More/less leverage is my guess. Ultimate / Bronze Base

7/8/2025 8:08am Hey y'all something going on in these Maven levers in the pits at La Thuille. Heard from Alan Muldoon at MBR that the Canyon DH team had these same gold cams in their Mavens at Leogang. Any theories? More leverage? Less leverage? More ramp? Less ramp?

7/8/2025 8:07am I mean, would you prefer manufactures only offered premium builds and left nothing for entry level consumer? Manufactures understandably don't want to offer two material options for all the frames they produce. RS Select/Fox Performance level suspension and GX/SLX is fine for a massive amount of the market and people can upgrade the base level kit as they go along.

7/8/2025 8:03am in a Modern Everyday road car, that should not happen unless something is loose etc causing the same as below. However in race cars, especially such as 'supercars' in Australia, Drivers will tap the Brake pedal at the end of a long straight before brake zone to ensure the Pads are close to the rotor/disc, This is often because of the lead up corners putting side stress/flex though the carrier/hub pushing the pistons back.

7/8/2025 8:02am If I had to double tap my brakes every time I pulled them, I’d throw them straight in the trash. That’s not acceptable brake operation.

7/5/2025 7:55am Was finally able to hit the trails with my new set of trinity brakes Using formula monolithic 220mm 2.3mm thickness rotors, front back, I also get the same high pitch squeal on light lever feathering and the loud howling upon harder breaking, especially on the front. This time I think I was about 96-100kg total kitted. That sticky piston issue I had on the front seems better. Not exactly sure now if it is completely resolved or still there or in my head My skill level is dogshit, that means I am happy I don't die after going down an...

7/3/2025 9:34am Not to say you should definitely go buy it, but you have to remember that racers use what they are comfortable with, as they are going to smash into a corner at warp speed and just want a consistent feeling. Swapping to a fork they've had what, a month or two on for a major race is a big question mark for them. I think the fork is cool, I definitely won't buy one, but its cool to see some new tech and ideas coming to market. I think the next step is to go the Dorado route and make...

7/3/2025 9:31am Stiffness is just displacement under a given load. Steel and aluminum will have different material damping and rebound properties even when their stiffness is identical. I’m imagining the legs of an inverted fork can be thought of like a tuning fork, and axle material will change how that tuning fork sounds.

7/3/2025 9:25am The X2? You mean the shock that every bike company and their mother spec’ed on their misaligned trunion mount bike that had about as much frame alignment as a couple of soggy noodles. Not saying I didn’t have issues with that shock (I blew up three of them) but as it turns out the bike I had it on ate pretty much every shock I stuck on it (3 x2 and 2 EXTs). I don’t want to absolve any company from making shit, I really don’t. But at least in the suspension word everyone I can think of and ridden...

7/3/2025 9:17am All three of these want to sell you something that they say is better than what’s on your bike, and to do so they first need to convince you that what is on your bike is not good enough.
