Very interested in these new Hope brakes and might give them a shot next season. I like the lever options and the control version might be perfect for my riding. With the recent changes to Trickstuff and their main HQ shutting down, I have not been happy with their customer support overall. I get redirected to the DT Swiss service center where the response times are slow compared to just a year ago. All the people commenting about the tires needing to be the same is missing the point. I don't want to put a rekon exo tire on a 170mm bike unless I want to fix a flat every ride. I purchase an enduro bike to push it descending in technical terrain, the tires need to keep up to that task. I personally run an aggressive tread Enduro front / DH rear casing on my big bike and slightly faster tread Trail / Enduro casing on my little bike, because I don't like fixing flats. Another thing that is tough to measure...

Locking the front wheel on asphalt with grippy front tire and long travel fork requires crazy stopping power.

I dislike the feeling of inserts. Especially heavier ones like cushcore pro. But until I got some weareone Strifes, I had to run cushcore pro on the rear. I also needed a nuke proof ard on the front. I needed inserts otherwise I'd would just blow through rims at a completely unsustainable rate. Now I'm insert-less with strong carbon wheels with a warranty program and very happy. E-bikes and relatively low power lightweight electric motorcycles will be the main transportation method for large parts of the world. Imagine replacing every 2 stroke engine in a Vietnamese city with something clean. Once the tech is affordable enough it would mean a massive improvement in air quality and noise. So what’s a niche or recreational market in some places can be the norm in others.

Bumped into someone who works for a major bike brand. He says their XC 32in bikes are already ready for 2026. They are currently test riding them with modified USD forks. They are waiting for FOX and Rockshox to come out with compatible forks. Maxxis is still getting their 32in tyre range done. Apparently, their taller XC racers are already sold on the new bikes. 32in front and back and also 32in and 29in mullet. Though probably no big wheels on sizes S and XS. He says he expects a lot of 32in stuff to show up at Eurobike.

After 20+ years, will we see a Minion DHF 2?
