Before I bought my intend trinity set, I had the formula cura 4. Changed the stock pads to galfer green, installed 220mm 2.3mm thick formula monolithic rotors (front and back) and replaced the levers with the rgtec offering in normal length. I didn't get the chance to run them down the mountain and properly test them, but honestly, they have...
Damn I just love this set of trinity brakes, such a joy to look at and use. Want to get some sinter green pads soon to test if the resonance disappears (and if it gives them even more bite). For anyone wondering if you can use a 220 rotor on the back of a propain tyee 6 AL in L...

Yea, the way your hand contacts the bars when the lever is out that far is very different. I did some testing on it and found the closer they are, the more comfortable and balanced the contact of my hand is against the bars. Your hand pressure tends to rotate more inward the further the lever is away from the bar. I have problems with arms/hands though so it's more of an issue for me. The Tech 4 V4 is kindof between the two. The Intends have a more traditional (Dominion, Shimano, etc) lever feel in the sense that you...

That lever is indeed fantastic, I never had such control and modulation before. Never had a brake where I could access so many parts of the breaking curve, especially the first part of gentle braking. I do live in EU so I can source all this stuff easier, but thta far out lever on the maxima...meh I'm thinking of replacing...
Guess I'll pass on the maximas then, I really do not like running the levers far out; it is one of the best things about the intends, feels like my fingers can rest instead of staying stretched all the time. I had a set of new hope tech 4v4 that I sold to get the intends, but I do regret...
How does the maxima feel compared to the trinity for you? Do you notice the difference in stopping power? I really like my intends, but I'd like to try the maxima in the future as well; one big thing keeping me back is everyone is saying you need to run the lever farther out, which I dislike
Good grief the new brembo brakes have to be the ugliest things I've ever seen, it makes the mavens look like a piece of art. After looking at my intends, the brembos make my eyes recoil and blast backwards in the brain. There are so many people that work on the development of a brake, can't imagine there wasn't at...
Well if it is for modulation, considering you also live in the UK with Hope right next to you, I'd go for the Hopes. You also have the new Hope Evos to choose from I have a set of new, unused Hope tech 4v4 in my room that I would be using right now if it wasn't for the luck...
Was finally able to hit the trails with my new set of trinity brakes Using formula monolithic 220mm 2.3mm thickness rotors, front back, I also get the same high pitch squeal on light lever feathering and the loud howling upon harder breaking, especially on the front. This time I think I was about 96-100kg total kitted. That sticky piston issue...
the back is probably at half the bedding process and I can lock the wheel, the modulation is great the front is weird and I wish I could go to a trail sooner, don't have any of these bedding in machines at any bike stores in town and just me riding around will take a bit longer
I'd say I did about 20 runs of 30km/h-5km/h braking spurts with a bit of commuting to work and back home through town I guess I will try a re-bleed eventually if I don't notice any improvement. The free travel on the lever is good and short and don't feel anything spongy after the bite point. Also did the zip...
Just bought the trinity a few weeks ago, didn't have the chance to go on a trail yet but went around town trying to bed in the brakes. The modulation is amazing, but I still feel there is power left there on a 1 finger pull. Still can't fully lock the front wheel on a fast hard 1 finger pull...
