Although the PFR team looks more relaxed than other factory teams, it does not make them a bad team. Sure, it is not a big factory team with a big budget, but they have their system that works for them and had some pretty good seasons in the past - 2023 and 2024 were pretty good. I think the addition of Dylan and a fired up Roger Viera is going to elevate this team and make them more competitive. Dylan is going to do great at PFR!

I've said this many times in these forums. DH has not really scratched the surface with aero, and those who do will reap major rewards given how close times have gotten. I think it is overlooked that (I think it was) Neko who said in an interview that his teammembers had to train in their Speedsuits because it was that much faster than normal kit. Their braking points would get all messed up if they trained all sessions in normal kit, then put on the Speedsuit for race day. Jackson is without a doubt one of the most skilled on...

Aero will come. There is so much aero to be gained on a DH bike. Crying foul over the Fox speed suits is pretty silly, seeing how tight kits have gotten over the years. They just did it better than everyone else. Someone will probably think body armour is creating poor aero profiles under tight jerseys and start sculpting those too. I'm waiting for someone to find a way around the moto visor rule or try to reshape one in order to find some aero gain that is surely there. Style before tenths of a second! It's such a shame...

I think the other racers could learn a thing or two from Aaron with how he conducts himself. this interview is a prime example of a professional athlete getting the news out about new deals, and letting us in behind the scenes so to speak of how these deals come together and how it can work in a race season. I think Greg Callaghan (sp?) raced EDR on the Ripmo most of the year after trying the HD6 so you might be on to something with what you were feeling.

I generally recommend everyone has a full overhaul once a year - if you ride a ton then also do a lowers service at 6 months, and that covers 99% of people. You can't tell when a damper NEEDS a service, only when it should have been serviced about 6 months ago. And catastrophic failures always come at the worst time - right before or during a big ride/race/holiday Damper oil breaks down and starts to wear out parts like the inside of the damper tube - and usually feel fine right up until the point they have done major...

People either don't remember or never read the early interviews with CB. He said early on that the plan was always to fold it back under the UCI banner. He did it separately because the UCI wouldn't fund the experiment so he stepped out to do it on his own. As for EWS itself, they lost the thread. Yes, there has been a slowdown in the industry, but they got a little too big which forced sponsors to dedicate more and more resources.
