Its truly remarkable how much they are fucking up bike racing. I really wanted this to go well, and I had a pretty good amount of faith that Chris Ball was going to do a good job because of how cool the early enduro years were, but this is totally unacceptable. There are so many negatives coming with the new organization that I could see the riders striking. If I was a sponsor of World Cup racing, I'd be getting really worried thinking about how much the viewership is going to shrink with these changes. I want eyeballs on my...

Very pretty cranks. I think cranks are something you can invest in, as standards don’t really change. NSB should make crank arms for Brose/bosch motors too. Money in them there e-bikes!

The performance of the damper are not even comparable with the regular forks. after you ride this fork you start thinking that the other fork damping doesn’t work. that said you can bet that this design relies on a out of ordinary dampening control. The negative coil and the balance with the preload pressure inside the cartridge has to be set up after a conversation with the manufacturer on a person to person basis. obviously a self regulating negative air spring doesn’t require it and it is going to be good for a huge variety of riders. Bright gives to...

dear dirty booger, Thanks for the question.. This article was done, to my pleasure, by someone (@one ghost) who has been using the fork for a long time and has been attentive to our set up information (ultimately not that complicated, the Bright RS is a very adaptable to the end) and was very open and intrigued from the start. If a company that spends so much money on design and research gives you directions and tells you that you can't use a fork like this as you would use a cheap production one, if a company like this recommends...

Cheers I am actually begging Pablo to make me one to put on my dh lol. I am really curious to see how it would perform against a fox40 back to back. soon enough we will see a bright dual crown❤️

Absolutely not, even it is true that the fork keep evolving, SEB wrote a complete useless and false article. You wrote a very accurate review but I can guarantee that the fork that SEB mistreated is the same that you are praising

My personal experience: Where do I start…. well let's start by saying that in making this choice I had to “force” myself against everything I thought to be true. After having ridden with traditional forks, and even after having ridden 6 months with the fox40/190, following Pablo advice and going down to a 150 was a psychological stress 😰. I received the fork and at 110 kg of dressed weight I immediately made the mistake of trying to adjust the fork using the experience I have gained on fox over all these years. The consequence is that I went out...

Progressive springs are definitely overkill on modern enduro bikes. I increased progression a bunch on my Reign with a Cascade link, and I experienced the same kind of harshness you guys did on the 279. A straight-rate spring remedied the problem, and has the rear end working better than I ever imagined it would.

Used to ride with regular springs and with sprindex and they have exactly the same midstroke. I think that testing this bike with a coil was a mistake. Coils in general tend to provide more midstroke support than air, cause air typically is steep at the beginning (cause stiction), then a bit flat, then it gets progressive. Coil will typically provide more force in the midstroke and less force in the beginning and in the end. After 2 years on coil I finally discovered that I prefer air cause midstroke means harshness midtravel (on chunky trails). So if someone designed...

Id be really interested to have you guys try this bike with a stock Fox coil vs the Sprindex. It has a 20% progression built in to each model, and while they (and others) claim that progressive springs only get firmer at the end of the travel, I and some of my customers have not found this to be the case. It seems that progressive coils can definitely affect the midstroke, especially on bikes that already have significant ramp like the Intense (you guys are using the term falling rate). I was blown away trying Cane Creek coils back-to-back on...

Bought a Tracer 279 to replace my 2021 Enduro (same as one in test). Was worried as the Enduro was so damn good. But so far after 25 rides: I think it's better (for me) in almost every respect. I am running a 180mm Fox factory 38 on the front, and only left the bike in the HI mode setting, but the 550 coil is spot on for my weight (92kg) it shipped with (bike is an XL) and do not feel the wall of compression. In riding everything in Cape Town first involves a proper pedal up, and the...

Thanks for diggin' what we are doing, and I'm stoked your son is loving riding DH! I'm honestly not really sure why we haven't seen a 7-speed AXS drivetrain yet. There may be design limitations, or it could just be the lack of necessity since current DH derailleurs work petty well (like you pointed out). It does seem like the design and durability of Transmission derailleurs would be beneficial for the demands of downhill, and next March will be 10 YEARS since SRAM launched their XO1 7-speed drivetrain. So I wouldn't be surprised if an update is coming, but it's...
