1/4/2024 6:23am Ugh, Cathro and family flooded out if their house He also has this to say about PBR: "Itâs also the end of Pinkbike Racing as we currently know it which is incredibly sad in many ways but I will hold many great memories of those two wild years"

1/3/2024 5:25pm Continuing the chat of Danny Hart, I'm also in the camp where he doesn't really come across as much of a "personality" to me, but also not someone who's had particularly great results over the past year. I have a feeling some companies are also just taking a harder look at which riders are really driving sales. I know Danny's history, but how many riders realistically are going to be watching him and wanting to copy his setup or style? Looking at EDR, it's the same if you look at what used to be the Canyon team. I imagine a...

1/3/2024 4:30pm Kerry works for Bikeflights now. After Kona fired all the riders and team managers in June Bikeflights was nice enough to give Kerry a wrapped sprinter. They want him to actually enjoy bike racing in 2024, and they will be covering all his domestic travel and racing(he just has to be the face of Bikeflights and the events he heads to). His priority for race bikes next year are a superduper light FS bike for stage racing- and real CX bikes. Big ups to Bikeflights for supporting atheletes doing what they love.

1/3/2024 4:27pm re: canyon (and possibly other big brands)? it's an XC olympic year. could the big dumps and a brand like canyon be for XC talent at the olympic level? i have no insight or idea, but have to imagine olympics are at the forefront of budget talks for brands w/ an xc bike. re: danny - as mentioned above, he has a very solid social and youtube presence. to say he's "kinda invisible" speaks to the way the system works IMO. he's not an over-the-top personality on camera or vlogger with click-baity/controversial subject matter, so he's not recommended by the...

1/3/2024 12:03pm I ordered my frameset with the swingarm sensor/rotor magnet and it came installed and programmed for it so I didnât need to do anything. Itâs just a small plastic bracket that mounts to the inside of the swingarm, I added a pic of it too the bike check. As for the ground clearance with 27.5, itâs not too bad since the bb is higher to start with and Iâm using 2.8âs so itâs not much lower than a full 29er. đđđŒ

1/2/2024 10:14pm afaik, greg isn't a protected rider going into the season. qualifying will be a must for the first race. his ability shouldn't hold him back from qualifying, but a crash, a mechanical a small injury...anything can happen.

1/2/2024 10:14pm They have cut around half of their employees and almost the entire rider roster to make room for the GOAT. Going for broke is an apt way to describe it.

1/2/2024 10:01pm Angel Suarez posted a story from a rather bland looking field in North Carolina. That field just so happens to be the parking lot for Ride Rock creek, confirming the rumor of his frameworks ride. Im betting we see an old YT mob reunion soon with Gwin at Windrock.

1/2/2024 10:01pm John is a smart man... sees the writing on the wall... Gwin likely racing only 1-2 more seasons. He's in a 'real' job role at Intense (product development). He lives in California, 3,000 miles away from his racer. I'd not be surprised at all if he took a full-time gig at Intense and stopped doing world cups with Gwin. That said, if Gwin is doing his own team with Intense frames, I could see John keeping his full time position at Intense and ALSO go on the road to the 7 world cups and world champs to wrench for Aaron...

1/2/2024 9:59pm Wouldnât be surprised to see Gwin and John Hall going their separate ways. Gwin on a new bike and based in Windrock full time. John staying on in a formal role at Intense in California. Edit: but Iâd personally love to see Gwin hang around and get a win on that intense.

1/2/2024 9:58pm Gwinnâs mechanic just posted this story. Maybe Gwinn doing his own thing just with Intense frames? I canât imagine John would buy a new Intense e-bike if he was going to be wrenching on different frames for Gwinn next season. Or maybe Iâm reading his comment the wrong way. Still seems strange he promote a bike they woollens be using in a week.

12/27/2023 10:37am To comment on two previous posts... -IFR is done. This was known for a while. New junior team in the works. -Yes, YT "Un-caged" is likely done for 2 reasons: 1. So their team riders can be on the stuff they want to be on to get the best results possible. 2. Allows people like Jack and Vali to also get paid by SRAM/Rockshox--thereby lowering YT's burden to pay a hefty salary to top riders. Jack made it clear last year (his first on YT) that he wanted to stay with SRAM/Rockshox to keep everything but the frame the same...

12/27/2023 10:32am Exactly. Iâm all for people making money riding bikes, but itâs a bummer that sponsorship deal went to an Instagram âinfluencerâ, rather than someone whoâs actually out racing and trying to make a name for themselves.
