I hate to say this but you need 3. An ebike to ride when you have limited time or its too hot or you think its too wet or you're too tired or because the trail sucks. An enduro or 150ish bike to ride the fun trails and still pedal but also to put into a bag so you can travel to cool places to ride all the good shit all around the world. A downhill bike because it feels so good. The end.

If you don’t have the time or live in a good location for all day epic riding, e-bikes are a solid choice. It’s pretty akin to downhill bikes, they make sense if you live in the right location. Locally, a lot of people are doing 2-4 hour trail rides that turn into 1-2 hours on the e-bike and it doesn’t really matter what order you hit stuff in.

Currently rocking: Long travel Ebike (190/170): covers everything from Bike Park to lunch ride trail rides. Slopestyle bike: just got this, but effecitvely wanted a DJ bike with gears for pumptrack but also city rides and kid rides. This bike could have been a regular DJ or even a trail bike (think 5010 type bike). I bought a few pairs of Target golf pants when they were on a massive sale. They're too tight to be casual wear for me but they're some sort of tech fabric and are good for Spring and Fall riding. Golf shirts from thrift shops make good jerseys too. I'm not a golfer, nor a fan, but the clothes work for riding.

I used to ride in Dickies cut off and hemmed to just below the knee.

I ride in Lululemon ABC Warpstreme due to length requirements (37" inseam model). Been a big fan for trail riding (only when it’s cold- as I hate pants). Extremely comfortable fit and material. Not quite what I would want on DH days though.

i ride in dickies or the costco banana republic pants. i have to put the driveside pant leg of dickies into my sock so it doesn't get snagged by the chain. if over 80 degrees, i go shorts.
