Imagine a shock, that feels like a freshly serviced X2 that doesn't blow up fortnightly. I imagine that was the brief to the Rockshox team. You have to admit, not much feels as good as a freshly bled and sealed X2 when it comes to air shocks. Big volume for that "coil like" feel, relatively adjustable in the damper, reliable.... would be nice. That been said, Cane Creek DB Air ticked all those boxes for me.

Most likely it will be similar to FOX: very similar damper architecture between the coil and air version of the shock, allowing to choose more easily between air and coil without basically having to switch to a different shock altogether (you can't get the exact same damper, but it can be very close). Also, the bigger air can might allow for more tunability/better performance. and the adjustable HBO is probably better for racing and for marketing. Just my two cents.

I know it's not new, but God the commentary is horrible. Ric is the lesser of the two evils and has some potential, his voiceover for the last round of Enduro summary was pretty good. Someone really needs to tell Cedric to shut up unless he has something insightful to say. He constantly talks over Ric and ruins what should be intense moments. I couldn't watch semis because the commentary is so bad.

It's simple. Discovery didn't do their homework. Hell, we don't even know what places qualifier is leaving the gate. You see the top 30 list once on screen before the race...and then they don't even address what position is leaving the gate, don't have their qualifying time listed & don't announce how many riders are left. They showed a list of the final 10 riders and then you better keep track mentally because nothing on screen and nothing they say tells you who's next. Another annoying thing is that before a racer leaves the gate, they're not announcing their titles...

Man where is the EDR coverage? Looking at the results sheet I can barely put a face to a name for half of the top 20. The vital raw was rad (Jesse’s gap was SICK) and all the riders are looking fast - I just don’t know who most of them are 🤷🏼♂️ I’m equally a bit shocked at how many big names are racing the E-EDR.

They’re 2.8 x 27.5 Exo on 40i LB carbon rims with Tune hubs and Berd spokes. I’m easy on my wheels so I can get away with them without any issues, even on black trails and bike park. But that’s only part of the weight loss. The whole build, every part was chosen with weight in mind, while still being durable for me. Not a fan of the protected rider set up. Copying my post from another forum. (and to be clear, I'm a massive Minnaar fan, but he has benefited hugely here). Greg Minaar has 32 points from Lenzerheide. Flatting in Semis, getting a free pass to finals where he flatted again. Greg is protected due to finishing 10th overall last year, on 623 points. Daprella, who finished 11th last year, on 620 points, would have receieved 0 points had he experienced Greg’s problems this week. Those 3 points from last year have turned into 32 already. In contrast, the loser here...

Not sure how I feel about the addition of semi-finals yet. As a viewer it's hard to judge it in isolation from all of the broadcast changes. I do worry that the tighter schedule with reduced practice forced the riders to push too hard too soon. Gwin, Cathro and Pierron all potentially out for the season is such a bummer.
