I'm down with it. My homemade XXL DH bike with 240mm travel has 416mm chain stays. Roomy where I need it and turns on a dime. I am stuck in the past with twenty six inch wheels though. I don't think it would be possible with anything bigger. Sad.

The actual question is: Why would a champion let YOU (- as in: the team he came up with) go? Especially if the combination of rider, bike and teammates works this well. This is obviously pure speculation, but I bet it comes down to money. RM isn't a big brand, they don't sell that many bikes in the grand scheme of things. I don't think they can afford to pay him a big salary. The ugly reality of it probably is that Jesse has been doing it long enough just for the love doing it. He's probably at a stage...

It's a trail bike, I don't think many would. I doubt it would hold up to space flight either.

I'm guessing santa cruz is spending enough on the syndicate to not be keen to have an enduro team. Even if they should have one, for how overpriced their bikes are.

Not entirely sure why an enduro world champion would go to a bike brand based on then releasing a 150mm ‘trail bike’? surely he’d be more interested in the Ransom which is their dedicated enduro race bike.

Roskop will always be inseparable from Santa Cruz for a certain generation of fan. Him no longer associated with them makes them way less cool. I would take the past 2 year of QC issues with a grain of salt. Western brands couldn't visit factories and check qc/assembly process until this last summer for Southeast asia, this autumn for Taiwan and just now of after CNY for mainland china. So we will see if the Marin is well made but the design is nice and simple.

Given that Marin is killing it in both geo, looks and price lately I'd be interested in seeing one.
