Sweet DHR! Love the green. I have an orange one that I bought a few years ago and absolutely love. I mini-mullet'd it and run 27.5F / 26R.

Love this bike! I picked up a same-gen DHR last year and am really digging it. Running as a mini-mullet - 27.5 up front, 26 out back. A friend of mine has the previous gen DHR in a size XS - she's 5', the bike is tiny - and trying hers convinced me I should look for one. Last year just after I got mine put together, we were at Mountain Creek and my bike would not shift. Rolled up to the shop next to Mtn Ck (Skids I think?) with both DHRs in the pickup and asked the owner...

I most definitely do NOT know the answer to this, but while I was there this year more than one local told me the WC weekend is Snowshoe's busiest / most profitable weekend of the entire year.
The few times I've heard Needles doing commentary, ugh, no thanks. For everyone that doesn't want to pay GCN, umm, you guys do know about the site where the full streams get posted usually within a few hours of the race? Right? Once I found them, I just ignored semis and went straight to the finals. I just had to...

This is my experience too. Unless it's something super basic / common like derailleur cable, the idea that I'd walk into my local shop and walk out with new pads for Saint brakes or something like that seems impossible. A new cruiser bike or something for the kiddos, absolutely, but reasonably high end, niche stuff? Fuhgedaboutit. And since I can...
Yup, missed that one. Was marshal'ing XC when that race was going on and didn't watch the JR race. Was that guy just trying to cross the track? Because while bad, that's not nearly as bad as the MSA dude. Good point on the super-fans, but given't the amount of beer (or moonshine) flowing on the hill, it can be...
The guy that ran onto the track below the last jump while Goldstone was on track - he got tackled and literally rolled out of the way before it was an issue. But the guy that tackled him - was that a course marshal? Looks like it. I've marshal'd at Snowshoe several times, including 2 weeks ago, and that's not...
Fair points. Going back to when RB took over, as I recall "someone" at Red Bull was like "Rob, we love your enthusiasm but dios mio you are bad at this. We're going to send you to broadcaster school for 6 months." Seems like that's basically what everyone is asking for now. And by Rob's own admission, he had no...
A few hours after DH finals were over last wknd, I randomly ended up sharing the elevator (for all of one floor) with CG. He made a comment about how the race was incredible, I commented how Snowshoe somehow always delivers exciting racing, and he made a few other comments about the perfect weather, incredible fans, and great vibe. I...

It really is amazing how narcissistic Euro DH racers are. They train all winter long to be the fittest nerds on 2 wheels & on the weekend it comes down to being the fittest, they whine. For crying out loud, I've sprinted that whole mountain on a muddy weekend with a fresh course & passed bike design company owners walking in their race runs. There are so FEW mountains on this planet that want to host a seething mass of downhill riders. Pits taking up space Tuesday to Monday with massive rigs & specific needs. Hiring a monstrous staff to...

Odd that such a flat, boring "Enduro stage of a track" a) delivers one of the most exciting and unpredictable races every year, b) takes more of a toll on both riders and bikes than pretty much any other venue, and c) based on comments on WynTV has the best, most knowledgeable fans. Definitely seems like you'd want to avoid...
