8/24/2025 3:30pm I’d argue that might’ve worked effectively the first dozen times the bike industry did it, but not anymore. Unless what you’re hiding is truly unique, it actually does the opposite. People either see through it as a gimmick immediately, or are disappointed when the cover comes off and what is underneath is generic copied homework thus having the opposite effect just when the bike is actually about to go on sale.

8/24/2025 3:27pm Apparently there's a mtb world cup race this weekend - EDR Morillion namely - and this site doesn't even bother to at least post results (day 1 results to be exact), but more shocking are the entry numbers: about 120 elite men, 30 women, 23 male junior and 4 female juniors. Whoever said Enduro racing was alive and well ... is wrong. Oh, and there were 10 starters in E-EDR...

8/24/2025 3:26pm Too early to start enduro rumours? It’s the end of August and the season is done apart from worlds. that’s nearly 4 months of brands having athletes that aren’t racing - what value is there? I’m going to go with there not being any brand representation from Specialized, canyon or pivot for 2026. Riders in contract year won’t get renewals in enduro. Some retire, some simply won’t have a ride.

8/21/2025 3:32pm Adam Brayton trolling Bernie is one of the greatest internet gags of all time. My personal favorite was the 'public bike park' series feat Roidy 🤣

8/20/2025 2:45pm Out of interest did you see Adam Brayton's track walk vid at the Wales event? At one point he mentioned a line where there was a gentleman's agreement the previous year, which he said BK then broke. 🤷♂️

8/19/2025 3:24pm Looking forward to vehemently redirecting anything and everything to do with 32 in wheels to that thread in the future, despite all things 32 inch wheel still constituting rumours and innovation at this point.

8/17/2025 3:26am Or the fact that he's less out of breath, despite riding one of the gnarliest dh tracks while talking the entire time, than most people are walking to the end of the driveway and back.

8/17/2025 3:25am The rules for DH are almost as simple as saying that whoever rides a bike from the top to the bottom fastest while staying in the track limits wins, and I love it. Any type of hyper specific equipment rules like those in road racing or ski racing just limits the innovation that's required to be the fastest. If somebody wants to wear ankle weights or put oobleck in their tires because they think it's better, then they should let them. Let the fastest rider win. Shake weight in the steerer tube? Sure. Hamster bottle for the rear brake? Have...

8/17/2025 3:22am I’m glad the the UCI have spent the time and effort to investigate this and make their judgement. I’ve notice on IG, FB and PB there are a lot of guys getting upset about this and I feel that this says a lot about them. This has been an investigation that’s taken months since the accusation and they’ve kept his name out of the media until now. So it shows that they were taking it seriously. Hopefully the replies on here will be better than on the others.

8/15/2025 9:58am Finally! A proper electronic DH rear derailleur. I've been wondering when we'd be able to pay $1500 to ruin three derailleurs on the same rock in one race weekend. Can't come fast enough.

8/9/2025 2:53pm My big theory, Pivot relied heavily on BK's feedback for the most recent bike development and the geo does not support going as fast as one needs to go these days. So the guy that developed the bike gets hurt and now others are trying to go fast on a bike that maybe doesn't suit their style or a younger riding style. Mix that with a few mis steps in talent development and recruitment and all of a sudden you are in a real shitty spot. Right now I think there are more DH bike manufactures with World Cup teams...

8/3/2025 4:21pm Could definitely get something in a bike. Sure. wynTV had the same scanner dude with his iPad, they’re walking around checking 40 bikes every XC race…may as well check DH bikes. Maybe they are? Still only caught that Belgian girl (and her crime family) in any discipline ever. Long time ago. This podcast on her started fun but never really paid off https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-in-the-machine/id1723841408 I’d welcome some more cheaters. They’re not doing anything about the speedsuits so maybe we need some straight up motors to get em going. Maybe as we get closer to full-on desperation time for next season someone...
