I just went through and watched all the guys instagram videos again and missed the part where 5dev were aware of the likelihood of failure. They acknowledged it broke and offered TWO pairs of their stronger freeride cranks or a full refund (which I’d take over a formal apology any day). Was pretty clear the guy posting was a troll from the get go when he responded to their initial message of “how can we help” with “bruh” and a face palm emoji… unfortunate that he got a defective crank but he’s got enough whine it makes me wanna prep...

What was wrong with how 5dev dealt with that guy? They offered him a refund or new set. He just kept bitching. Literally nothing else you can do lol.

Yeah, it's a real shame Cam went straight to socials before the situation was resolved. Especially for someone in the trade. It's shit his crank snapped but he should have been handled in private first. Now he looks like a bit a of dick too. 5Dev were on the backfoot from the start and thats a shitty position to put someone in.

Yeah for sure. Definitely not correct to personally get emotional as a service agent. Clearly the crank should not snap in this application.., BUT warranty was offered so can‘t complain about that. Also the guy was not really cooperative or looking for a refund/warranty at all and just kept complaining. Don‘t want to know how he handled the phone call… Wink

I think a lot of good sarcasm is being wasted on this thread.

Definitely not the same lever: The bleed port has a much bigger screw, in line with the DB8 master cylinder: The grommet for the hose is different, the general shape of the housing is different, sculpted differently, it's not just all black with the Code RSC being ground for the silver inlay.

Looks a lot more like a DB8 lever with the swing link and contact point adjustment and rotated under the bar.

Maybe the most absurd thing I've ever seen. I'm not against small batch, boutique parts, but anyone spending that money on something so frivilous needs to be audited and forced into buying food for the needy or something.

Can we talk about how this sport has completely jumped the shark for a second? OEM parts is $4. This doesn't even come in blingy colors.

Sorry, but who is paying Commencal to use headset cable routing? Big headset? Local bike shops to charge more for servicing? Total garbage lol. Its done for looks to the average joe, and its cheaper production.

Not really. Feld Motorsports, who promotes Supercross and Motocross, have no problems with Logan Karnow being sponsored by Onlyfans. Trust me there are WAY more eyes on Supercross than anything the UCI does in MTB.

What is so bad about adult entertainment that UCI cannot be assosiated with it (especially just by having a contestant having a website that has porn as a sponsor). Its not like porn is illegal or evil or is that how its seen in the US? Where I live it is very normal for adults to consume porn so i dont really get it. Its not like he is sponsored by a website promoting violence, drug abuse or terrorism etc. Seems very narrow minded and fundamentalistic to me.
