Apologies if this is pedantic or already discussed. Is VPP not also a 4 bar suspension design? Confused why Santa Cruz is using that terminology to differentiate the Vala from their other bikes.

As with every other free hub mechanism out there, if tolerances are right and material choice/quality suitable for the application, I think it's not very complicated at all, however their track record + general inclination towards weight saving in the worst places that is so prevalent in the whole industry... I'm little skeptical.

Option 6: I've never used an electronic drivetrain so I have no opinion at this time. I'm fundamentally a tightarse though and SRAM mechanical drivetrains are already poor value.

Slight switch of topic… I saw the part spec. sheet for an unreleased bike, and one of the models was labeled as having “Sram s1000 Transmission”…I guess confirming mechanical Transmission to be incoming soon?

Knollys recent sizing is just not it. Putting someone 5’6” on a bike with a 480 reach is just insane. They are either hoping to turn people off the sport or are just incredibly insecure and trying to prove something.

SRAM indicates it does not work, my angle grinder believes otherwise. Grinding non-critical centering material off a UDH dropout provided required clearance between the smallest cog and dropout. Shifts great - especially improved shifting to harder gears and under load. X0 (XS-1295) cassette, XX t-type chain, XX1 Eagle mechanical shifter and derailleur.
