Zerode are launching a new frameset, looks like two travel variants, 160 and 140mm. Shadow and Shadow Trail. 450mm chainstays on the large too. Internal frame storage too. Curious what the kinematics are. Looks pretty cool imo! https://zerodebikes.com/products/shadow-origin Rob continues his streak of only launching bikes like a month or two after I buy something else...

Take it easy buddy. I’m not trying to derail the entire conversation but also think it’s allowed to have an aside now and again. There’s plenty of off topic quips that go on in this thread.

I think a better reason is because Ford was a nazi sympathizer. That said, we have more than likely all owned products from companies with ties to the nazis sadly.

I’m not pro-Evil but dude this is like bringing up the Pinto as a reason not to get a new Ford. There may be plenty of relevant and current reasons but this isn’t one.

There is a little predicament in the Persian Gulf that that means the hunger for recycled plastic has skyrocketed. Ironically, the moron-in-chief is going to make electric cars, recycling and efficiency a lot more economically attractive in the land of freedumb.

God that new Rocky's motor arrangement looks UGLY AF to me. Something about it, maybe the big triangular block coupled with the rear triangle, reminds me of commuter ebikes. I swear it looks bigger than any other motor on the market. It's a shame because if I cover over that part of the bike with my finger, the rest of the bike looks nice/normal.

Interesting to note that with Orbea's AGM, they work with "one person, one vote". So you don't end up with a very small number of people controlling everything if they have more personal shares.

Can we get a separate thread for requesting separate threads so it doesn’t clog up this thread?

it’s not much yet, but so far they are able to offer the same controls with 2 different motor makers (shimano and tq). so if this plays out, they own the interface stack. let‘s wait to summer when they release their dji bike, if that will have the same controls. that and their ability to offer the bikes in custom colors are things no other big oem can do right now.

Fun Fact! I own one of her old top hats. It's an old leather one with the metal springs showing through in a couple of spots and a couple of old silk ties tied around it.

Orbea has a pretty good network of bike shops selling their bikes in my area, more than Trek/Specialized, similar to Scott. They seem really popular with riders who just wanna walk into a shop and get a good bike, rather than spending hours comparing geos to the millimetre as we like doing around here Smile Every other XC kid has an Alma, Oiz is relatively common. Road is also a good market share. E-bikes are less common though.
