I've even heard rumors that Red Bull doesn't actually make helmets either

Some new helmet tech coming from Kali in their latest Shiva Nano model called Full Nano Technology. The main benefit being how the material can manage multiple hits without needing to be replaced, which has always been a downside with commonly used EPS foam. It is wildly expensive at $1000 USD, and subjectively a bit hard on the eyes. But I do appreciate the effort to keep advancing helmet safety. https://www.kaliprotectives.com/products/shiva-nano?variant=42818840526…

A properly supported Angel on a winning bike is someone who has been able cross the line in the green in the past. Angels had some rough luck over the years with weird team dynamics, teams folding, and injury. I'd love to see 2-3 seasons of that guy healthy and supported.

Angel gets a paycheck, gets to keep racing, and I would imagine helps with developing the next Aventon ebike. What's the problem?

Frameworks does riding/training on a different brands e-bike, and races on their own frame. Aventon is doing the inverse to Frameworks 😁

Ive been pondering the e-bike vs regular bike debate a bit recently, and if that conflict is unique to North America only at this point? From what I gather, Europe has heavily embraced e-biking in all forms, to the point where is it somewhat the default choice for most people. Here in the US, the debate of e-bike vs regular bike is still very much a point on contention, but that seems to be something unique to America biking culture, and not so much the rest of the world. Am I wrong on this, or is American protestant work/suffer culture...

Trek would be smart to pull an Orbea. Combine your DH/Enduro into one and base it on your long travel e-bike. 3 in 1.

We stopped stocking full suspension mountainbikes last year. I'll order them if there is demand for one. Else, it has a motor. We kept low cost hardtails for the youth though.

100% this. Don't conflate a slower rate of adoption with where things will inevitably end up

Name a more annoying sound than an American complaining about ebikes. Honestly, we've all heard your opinions before. We know you have them. I don't really like or want an ebike either but there are 12,000,000 whingy comments online about how you're too pure or too dedicated or too fit or too angry at unskilled riders and you're mad about it. We don't need any more. Talk about the market or discontinuation of normal bikes, sure, but complaining about being passed on a climb track or peoples ass cracks is tiring af at this point. You've been yelling about it...

because the numbers are wrong, it was 52.5% ebikes and 47.3% bicycles that were sold in 2025 in germany. in the mtb segment, it was 793500 emtb to 52500 mtb. source: https://www.ziv-zweirad.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Marktdaten-Fahrra…

you're just late to the party, that's all I'm just back from 2 weeks in finale ligure, i'd say on each shuttle at least half of the bikes on the trailer had a motor

If anyone doesnt understand this bike I dont blame him, neither did I. But after spending few days in a Sud Tyrol town, through which runs a long distance cycle path that connects Northern Italy and Germany my perception changed big time: I only used said cycle path to link different trails for few km at the time but I'd encounter hundreds of elder people riding such bikes. It was eye opening and I realized there exist bike markets I had no idea about...

This is why European venues have the upper hand through local government subsidising tourism projects. Nobody knew about Loudenvielle 15 years ago, then they put the gondola linking the pretty village by the lake to the ski resort up above and developed a trail network mainly below the snow line. This takes years and a sustained effort to make destinations tourist honeypots.
