Advent MX is so good. I'm running it on the ebike but would happily run it on my park or trail bike too. MicroShift derailleurs are much more impact resistant than Shimano in my experience. All I want from a derailleur is for it to be cheap, overbuilt, and never in my spokes. Their customer service is great too. I broke a tooth on the cassette early on and they shipped out a new one no questions asked. Imagine going through that with Shimano.

I've had 2 bikes with the di2 and They were noisey asf. lots of chain smack. I thought hey lets try the updated springs in the latest mechanical XT - Yeah still ass. Someone put me onto the new advent mx Pro, Not looking back now, its fantastic & cheap.

Honestly, with how much 32 has been prototyped and with the imminent release of forks, wheels, and tires for 32, I don't think it's going to be nearly as big as people thing. We should be seeing a lot more 32 at races and other events than we are, this feels like it's going to be a lot more like 27.5+ tires and wheels than anything else.

Trust me, I get it. I feel exactly the same. I'm honestly getting a bit fatigued by all this pseudo-innovation lately: 32" wheels, competing derailleur hanger standards, electronic 13 speed group sets, 1700w ebike motors, new hub standards - I neither want nor need any of it. Because at the end of the day, all of this is just going to make everything more expensive but won't make a difference to my actual day-to-day enjoyment of cycling.

When the stumpy 15 dropped they did a PB podcast and they also basically said “yeah no evo, it has to special/gnarly to get the evo name” That lasted like less than a year, I think their philosophy is pretty money centric lol.

Kona seems kinda fucked imo. I don’t see what they can do to bounce back (I really hope they do). The current bikes are solid but need some small geo updates. Do they copy and paste, and make the 153 and 134 a basic four bar, slightly slack then out, a little more stack, longer CS, and slightly more progression? Not hard and a proven formula, but it’s getting into bland territory. Either way Horst-ing them will make them objectively better. Yes - I’m my case at least. Have 1.5kilo scuba weight strapped to the bottom of my Single speed V10.8 park rig. I love it set up like this. Increased the frame weight by nearly 30% down at BB and have no cassette or cable weight on the rear wheel. Works out the quite the change in handling characteristics in my experience

Shame effigear can't get their act together. I genuinely think it's a better design; no double seal needed for concentric output, no overdrive, etc means out of the box there is a huge potential for efficiency gains, not to mention the removal of an idler.
