Also the Ralon was one of the most innovative bikes of last year. They do some interesting stuff over there and I imagine how they’re organised has a big hand in that.

nothing? they are the only ones making their own controls and the only ones integrating an electric dropper that is powered by the ebike's battery. one could say they are the first company offering their own ebike UI. everyone else is on stock controllers

I thought downhill was governed by what makes the sport look cool and not by what makes it faster, you can’t tell me that banning a skin suit due to the majority of male athletes being self conscious in the search of speed is any different to putting a massive stupid looking wheel on the front of a bike to make it look like a Penny farthing ? If 32” wheels are allowed then so should ski suits be allowed if it’s helping gain speed in a sport that can come down to thousands of a second missing qualifying! On...

Porsche have closed their Porsche eBike Performance business. Across the overall "strategic realignment", more than 500 people are losing their job - not great news. More details: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2026/company/porsche-sharpens-focus-on-… Pertinent piece of the PR: Porsche eBike Performance Porsche eBike Performance GmbH was established to develop high‑performance e‑bike drive systems and market them worldwide. Due to fundamentally changed market conditions for e‑bike drive systems, the activities of the joint venture will be discontinued. This measure is in line with Porsche AG’s strategic focus on its core business. The closure of operations at the Ottobrunn and Zagreb sites affects around 360 employees. Wonder...

Excellent 👌 What a great way to display the sport. Some questions/wall of text if you have time; Do you have an opinion on viability of obtaining this kind of footage for EDR rounds and how it might be best used for promotion/racing packages? Do you see any obstacles with the speed of following male racers in top 10? Any other potential non-obvious constraints or challenges that might need to be overcome? How would you feel about EDR live podcast/radio style show, timing TBC, maybe started towards the last couple of stages. Guests chatting shit about racing shenanigans/stories/insider info in...

Thank you all for the interest in our bikes and in our distribution / sales model. To give you a bit of context, we’re currently a team of 9 people at RAAW, based in Germany, and we ship worldwide directly from here. The US has actually grown into our biggest market after Germany, which is pretty wild considering that every RAAW in the US has been shipped individually from Germany. Our goal is, of course, to make the ordering process and ownership experience as easy as possible. Having stock in the US would be ideal, but that comes with a...

I knew it! What a shitty decision. Gotta believe this, as a brand new venue in Asia would’ve been one of the ones to DEFINITELY have boots on the ground. I’m doubly disappointed. Not only on the noticeable drop in quality it brought, but that they were shady with it. Spin it as some sort of pro move, that you’re holding it down in Digital Mountain Bike Studio Four or whatever. Or just say it. I could hear MBeaumont struggling with the location charade but RicMc was saying “here in Korea” …and they only had what?—three people there as mans...

I think it's a modification to be able to run a 27,5 wheel in a 29er rear triangle. As the wheel is smaller, the axle needs to be lower to keep the geometry of the bike. Thus this thingamadood to lower the axle position. I guess it's two aluminium blocks anchored in the (elongated on the V10) dropout hole to prevent rotation and bolted together as much as possible.
