The one company I am most bummed about closing albeit it was a quite a while ago was Twenty6 Products, I still have a ton of Tyler’s stuff that I haven’t had to do a damn thing to.

Yes I imagine Vali's base salary is higher..and rumors I heard were with bonuses, personal contracts with companies like Adidas etc. that Vali is doing much better than 100k per annum. Good for her.

It would be criminal if Vali is on 100k. I would expect her base salary to be 3-4x that at least.

Is only personal-gain for this one-man-show. Outward talk of course is actionable change within current economic times, yet is going to prove a long-game for current leaders this Oaf wants to impress. This is a person who only speaks about himself - every time, all the time. A penny in his pocket is our 'good' to his blinded eye. Tariff = Border/Immigration = Greenland/Panama = 'Chyyyyynaaaa(sic)' & Ruskie Merchant Vessel trade routes. Lots of nice comments about Rockys; I certainly appreciate it. I have faith that something will transpire over the next few months and Rocky will emerge on the other side a better company. The brand is very strong and there are many passionate but also smart people that want to see it carry on. In the meantime I'll be skiing and biking for the remainder of the winter.

Hey Charlie, it just occurred to me that in practice, pedal kick does not actually manifest as pedal kick. It manifests as encumbered suspension. If you want to see the on trail effects of different pedal kick solutions, you should get some data acquisition for your rear suspension and ride a very repeatable section of trail. You’d be able to see the differences between Ochain and the sidekick hub etc by comparing your suspension usage.

Stiction in suspension breakaway force is much different. I have heard from supercross suspension tuners that they have good results from fork fluid that has more friction than other fluids that are more slick. It gave them a feel they couldn't replicate with shims, pistons or springs

A good 56mm option I've found is from RAAW. Use their bearings/races or swap out to a Chris King dropset (41mm bearings). https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/yalla-headset-comp… They've also got reach and angle adjust cup options: https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/dh-headset-cups

Yeah I had a +5mm reach headset from Works like this (EC44/EC56) and while it technically did extend reach by 5mm, you effectively lose some of that with the added stack from going to EC cups from ZS cups. I guess what it really does is slacken headangle without losing reach (from baseline).

Had this realization at northstar on closing day. Finally realized that on some drops my ankles were getting blasted by PK and that I needed to let my feet rotate on impact. I don’t view this as a positive, though. Trying to absorb impacts while rotating my feet backwards is not enjoyable or efficient or very effective. If riders have adapted to this behavior that’s fine for them but I would much rather be on a bike that is designed to avoid that phenomenon. My biggest issue is that this has to be putting more weight in our hands/force into...

I asked ChatGPT what Sesame Seed was talking about and to be okay with being brutally honest and distasteful if it wants. Enjoy: This comment seems to be a convoluted attempt at drawing parallels between professional bike racing and motorsports, particularly Formula 1, but it’s a jumbled mess of loose associations and misplaced terminology. Let’s break it down brutally: 1. Chain Drive Skepticism : The commenter kicks off with skepticism about recent changes to bike racing due to “chain drive,” but gives no real details or context for what exactly they are skeptical about. It feels like they are grasping...
