The ill-advised rock gap story in the car is 10/10 excellent. A tale as old as time. The exhaust on the ground shot was, of course, excellent too.

Patrice Afflatet owns AP Sports Com which has managed the "Scott Factory DH Team" for over 7 years. Traditionally it leaned towards a more French line up and staff which Dean Lucas found difficult being the token English speaker, however that was years ago and the team now has a more global roster. Don't disregard the affect that Bucko (Ben Walker one of the unsung heroes of the mtb world who is well overdue for a podcast interview) has on everything gravity for Scott.

Make the junior category a category that gives riders 5 years to point out of, sort of like the 250 class...

The "current situation" is over. Brands that are still using that as a reason they are doing poorly are lying and disingenuous. If you are letting go of riders now, it's either simply because "your" business is not going well, you should not have been in the sponsorship business in the first place, or most likely, the business has shifted and brands sponsoring riders just because...is no longer smart business. The industry is level.
