Its a good looking bike. And under Colognes it sure looks fast, given that hes coming from the Commencal, which everyone seems to think is the fastest bike on the circuit right now. It also appears to the the same "2008 demo" suspension design as the "new" Nukeproof haha.

People seem to think bike companies have way more time and money on their hands than they actually do......pulling 20 units together AT ALL, let alone people with enough spare time to strip them down and rebuild perfectly is close to impossible. They will for sure be getting some kind of once over but that's going to be pretty standard anyway for a new production run....the QC from those top brands are already really really good in my opinion and the amount of "problems" certain people try to make you think exist just aren't anywhere near that bad in reality....

Eh, I have a few thoughts to add for the hell of it. Some may remember, but I have had the privilege of playing "bike review guy" for Vital in the 2010s and also got to do similar work in the ski and motorski industry. I've also had a behind the scenes look into the industry at various points over the last ~20 years and can say I've never seen anything to suggest media product is somehow different than the product the public buys. That said, most of these "big" launches include a mechanic (or two) as you implied. Hence...

I dug back into the vital archives just to see how much we've kicked around these ideas (posted a handful of links below). The theme of this conversation dates back to 2017, when all the same talking points were echoed. From then to now the broad access problems e-bikes supposedly posed did not materialize. This isn't to say a few trails haven't been lost, but we've gained many more trails than we've lost in this period of time (for mtb and for e-mtb). To add, the areas we did lose trail are areas that have always been under fire due...

Agreed on all counts. If it's repeatable, it's as valid as it can be, but it's not a very meaningful target in itself, it's a byproduct of having the necessary spring rate for the loads you put on the bike and the ride quality you're looking for. Worrying about the precision of the sag measurement like that is utterly pointless if you're ignoring the factors that actually matter when selecting spring rates. On that note, we have a few different ways that we calculate spring rates for the Telum on any given frame (tuninghub.vorsprungsuspension.com) - if you know what you...

I always new Dave was an avid MBAction reader - https://mbaction.com/garage-files-how-to-set-suspension-sag-using-motoo… I like how he assumes none of us ever heard of that tool or read the Motorcycle Suspension Bible....but apparently we are all morons? I don't normally get to caught up in everyones theories since there are many ways to do it, and each is fine as long as its vaguely repeatable, but this is claiming an awful lot of precision for measuring the sag without any way of checking the weight distribution which can introduce just as much error!

Not all European WC races are in the EU, not all races are in the Schengen area. There is no universal visa, if you want a Visa for a European nation, Schengen or otherwise you have to apply to a specific country. There is no single EU body for Visas. The vast majority of WC racers not from European nations (i,e, Canada, USA, Aus and NZ) do not need a Visa to enter an EU country, those nations have reciprocal Visa waiver programs with EU nations. Visas have never been a major issue before, there are 10 WC DH races...

I don’t think you get it Dave. We are going to revolutionize fork manufacturing on this forum without ever having visited a factory or even talking to a designer or engineer about the myriad of factors that affect the design and manufacture of said forks.

I agree. That sentence is bizarre. I'm weirded out by the implication that choosing a longer or shorter chainstay length would be a compromise, but somehow choosing a 438mm chainstay length isn't a compromise? Every geometry decision you make on a bike represents a compromise. They're all trade-offs. Either that, or Canyon and friends have stumbled upon the Platonic ideal of the form "chainstay length." We're all in the cave over here, but at Canyon they've unshackled and transcended bodily existence to discovered the one true form of bike geometry. So meta of them.

Prime Gwin, years ago in wayyyy better economic times said he's making approx $1m when combining all streams of income. Asa, as good as he is not in the same ballpark commodity wise as peak Gwin. No one is making 1.5m in today's climate IMO.

Hello @Primoz , I'm personally coding both the software and the app. Making a new release the day before something is happening would not be an issue. By the way, nothing will happen. Best, Enrico
