PUSH Industries Liked a reply to forum topic Modern Inverted Single Crown Forks

There is a wide variance when it comes to bearing size, axle interface, and end cap interface amongst hub manufacturers. With the one-piece lower leg design of a conventional fork, these variances don't really play a big role. With an inverted fork, the hub ties the two stanchions together to keep the legs from moving independently of each other. The more robust the hub, the more robust the entire system is. Hubs like the I9 Hydra, and Hope Pro, for example, use a large bearing with hub end caps that interface with the ID of the bearing. This provides good...

Oh come on What are you doing swapping wheels every other day? I call bullshit to all this superboost hate I agree 148 for everyone would be the best thing But if you’ve got a superboost bike with a nice set of wheels I really don’t see the point in wanting to swap stuff around constantly Get legos to do that Almost 5 years into owning a superboost bike and I’ve never had once an issue with it Once I sent a wheel for warranty and just borrowed a DH one for the weekend, 0 issues there too

I struggle to grasp why someone would pay a buttload of money for a Fox Podium but not just rebuild their front wheel on a new hub?

Coil shocks for everything! Tallboy 4 w/ cascade link and 7.5' x 2.0' coil shock (stock is 190mm x 45mm). Rear travel is around 145mm, front is 150mm with a 64.5 degree HA. Very supple, yet still supportive and a blast to pump down the trail. With light wheels (as pictured), it rips the climbs and is a big mileage all day trail machine. Swap to heavier wheels and tires and it will handle any enduro course out there.

There should be quite a few here that know of Ridemonkey. It has historically been a treasure trove of tech information and racing discussions. Folks such as Dave Weagel, Vorsprung Steve, and many other industry leaders got their start in those forums. Didn't @sspomer used to work there? RM is set to be shut down and lost forever, but there is hope for saving it. https://ridemonkey.bikemag.com/threads/help-save-ridemonkey.299410/ Act quickly and send some $ their way if you can to free the site from corporate control and save it's place in mountain bike history. There is so much information and history in...

I had two bikes in the past that used the Shimano BB92 standard and I fitted the cheapest Shimano bottom bracket I could get my hands on. In both cases the BB lasted the lifespan of me owning the frame without noise or issues. I tend to find the standard Shimano threaded BBs I've had are similarly durable and trouble free. For my usage and climate/weather in the UK I have no complaints. I always run Shimano cranks with 24mm spindles and I imagine I might have more problems with 30mm or 28.99mm spindles.

Brian Cahal also did a followup video where he tried the RR stem reversed (i.e. +15mm rather than -15mm), and said it felt better that way. I can't remember exactly but pretty sure he still washed the front once with it like that. I'm personally of the school of thought where I select stem length based on how it feels for steering speed as opposed to cockpit fit, then adjust bar and stack height to match across my bikes. But then again, I also ride 3 bikes with very similar modern but not crazy reach and CS lengths. I feel...

I haven't had time to watch any of these deep dive videos, so this is a hasty judgement, but I gotta say that products like this make me think we're starting to completely lose the plot of mountain biking. Who wants to spend $2000 on JUST THE FORK for their mountain bike? And that fork likely requires you to get at least a new front wheel, so tack on a few extra benjies at minimum. And in return you get a fork that weighs as much as a DH fork. Look, I've blown a stupid amount of disposable cash on...

From an Italia username "Extracingshox" on the other site in response to slurping noises: "t he noise is our hallmark, just as every hub has its own sound." Sadly Lorraine Truong has passed away. The Swiss Enduro and DH mountain bike rider who in July 2015 crashed hard during an Enduro World Series. Unfortunately, it wasn't her first crash on the head and her brain didn't recover. Through adaptive sports Lorraine started with WCMX (wheelchair motocross, understand wheelchair in a skatepark) and then learnt to sit ski. She was also the proud owner of an adaptive mountain bike, allowing her to ride with her friends down singletracks again. Lorrain even got to compete again and in 2022 she won the WCMX World Championships.
