Oh god... 'We can't fit the shock to the frame... Let's make a completely custom shock that no one ever will stock parts to service and won't know how to service it!' Logic.

I dont get why you would use a DH cassette and a dropper.... if its a park bike run a normal post and save the weight. Would be more interested in this bike with a full cassette for a dh bike that can be fully pedaled up hill and rip park laps. The added cassette weight would be worth it for the versatility.

Disagree on all points. 38's still creak, and nothing compares to the stiffness of a dual crown fork for big holes, steep terrain, and heavy braking. If you're in a bike park there's no need for 12 speeds, and the longer chain and derailleur cage are much more likely to make clack-clack noises and get bent. Lastly, it's not a coincidence that Fox makes the most durable seatposts and the ones with the highest stack height. Bushing overlap = durability. Pretty simple.

If you look at an earlier post from Flyinflo21, you get a closeup of the crown. Looks burlier for sure with larger interface with the stanctions than lyrik (eyeballing it). From the pic above, it also seems that the lowers go a bit below the axle, as the longer insert of the stanctions makes the stanctions go further down. I think this is one step further in the right direction. Also, when listening to the the Chris Porter interview on Bikeradar podcast, he mentions that one drawback of current forks is that the bushings are fixed in the outers, whereas...

Origin story for STENDEC from the horses mouth (they PMed me bc for some reason their comment got flagged for review) " Dave is a big history geek both his parents were in the Navy. Stendec is a morse code message that was sent from an airplane that held several diplomats with highly sensitive documents before it crashed. No one could figure out what Stendec meant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1947_BSAA_Avro_Lancastrian_Star_Dust_acci… Hope that helps Mirka Garland (Dave's wife)"
