4/23/2026 4:48am Kind of hilarious that the marketing line is that "you don't have to deal with the complications of a normal idler" - like this isn't the world's most complicated bike 😂 I think the highgear thing is cool but the design of the frame around the bottom bracket seems a bit awkward. Even with the frame protection I don’t like those thin-ish carbon edges. The fully open linkage area is also a concern - yes mud can get in and out, but in UK winter conditions all of those interior surfaces are going to get wrecked by any fine dirt...

4/16/2025 12:31pm Not to be a buzzkill but based on your suggested pilot locations, I don’t think the potential customer pool will be big enough for this. I would think the markets for these types of van rentals would be British Columbia, Colorado/Utah, and maybe the Tennessee/North Carolina/West Virginia corner of Appalachia. Very few people are going to be in LA or SF and looking to start a van based bike trip. Even Portland is probably too far from the epicenter of PNW riding. Maybe Seattle? Who is the user in your vision? Someone flying into one of your rental locations and...

3/14/2025 8:36am Pretty cool idea. For some people’s spending habits just the discount codes could make it worthwhile. And for the family, friends, and fans of the riders it gives an easy way to financially contribute while getting something in return.

3/12/2025 1:45pm OnlyMotion has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their electronic conversion kit for mechanical droppers. More info - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/onlymotion/worlds-first-electronic… I know this concept was discussed a few pages ago. I appreciate the effort to create something that doesn't exist. I also don't mind the extra cable at my cockpit for a mechanical dropper. I guess if you really want electronic/wireless without having to run the new gen of wireless droppers that look terrible with the battery at the collar, this is for you haha

3/12/2025 1:43pm They might do a limited run but in Vancouver Canada anything with a bit of flare seems to go way over priced thanks to scalpers.. someone had Jackson goldstone sign their bike (stock nomad) and are trying to get $15,000 CAD for it.. I couldn’t see sram charging more for this kit than the other ultimate mavens Ltd they released

3/10/2025 12:58pm That certainly isn't my color palette, but similar to the Maven launch edition, I like seeing a company as large as SRAM do something unique with the launch of a new product - even if it's "just" a non-traditional color. Also, the Maven Ultimate Expert Kit (if you could get your hands on one at launch) was a really excellent deal considering how much it came with for basically the same price as just the brakes alone. If only these were purple to match my current Sentinel accent color scheme... I'd be nervously waiting around with a credit card to...
