I had a pair of clearance carbon Rovals on my gravel bike that exploded when I got hit by a negligent driver a couple years ago. Specialized replaced them quickly with a brand new pair that I then sold to the Pro's Closet for nearly what I paid for them originally. I submitted them to the Pro's Closet on a...

That 10-45 12speed XTR cassette is definetly not vapourware. Ran one for 2-3 season and currently running a SLX 10-45 12sp cassette (there is also a XT 10-45 version) with the same XTR GS 12 speed derailleur. They are also the cassette used currently for the 12 speed GRX gravel group so plenty of stock available. But there is no SLX GS derailleur, only XT or XTR version. My next build will be XT GS derailleur and 10-45 SLX cassette with XTR chain. The vapourware stuff was the 10-45 11 speed hyperglide+ cassette that was mentionned during XTR launch but...

There is pretty much only 4 size that you see across all bike categories (road to DH) for round seatpost: 27.2mm / 30.9mm / 31.6mm / 34.9mm and 27.2mm is barely used in MTB. I understand the point of 34.9mm for durability on longer dropper but weight creep up fast in that size. I think it's mostly the 30.9mm and 31.6mm that could be reduced to only 1 of the 2. 30.9mm is the better size if you need to shim a dropper in that size in a 34.9mm frame with a thicker 2mm shim compared to a 1.65mm thick...

Was it two seasons ago that the World Cup mechanics got a lot of coverage during the season? I miss it. Bring it back, please.

You're being way too hard on yourself Kirill. To even be invited to rampage is an honour and you prove your qualification in the video above. You're a shredda! The biggest disappoint would be putting down the bike

Call me a lame-o but I kind of don't want him to try. That step down is bonkers and the consequences are beyond small.

Hey Scott - I'm 30 years old and used to live in Utah, I've been to the old site and have walked around it. I have followed Rampage from the first year they did it when I was a senior in high school. I've been riding mountain bikes since 1996 and I'm not a hack... well I'm still a hack. I just don't want the wood features to become a slippery slope and are required to hit to win (regardless of what the judges say). Also I'd hate it if riders felt that they needed to hit any of them...

Having hiked the course last year, know that there is WAY more natural terrain to cover than the relatively little bit of wood you see here. Plus, the Icon Sender now sends riders 3 ways, rather than 2, which actually opens more options than last year. Personally I'm for it. The handful of wood additions allow the riders to focus more time on the rest of their lines. They only have 3 days to build this year with 3 helpers...
