9/9/2026 1:03pm Yeah, it's been hard to get used to seeing negative rise stems on xc bikes. It's only been over a decade...

9/8/2026 10:13am In my experience (Deore 12 speed) Microspline hubs get just as chewed up by the cassette as the old HG ones did. What’s the point of that?

9/7/2026 6:38pm avoiding muc-off products will forever be a positive when talking tires and chain lube. The rest is... "be a man" - joking aside, I dont really have any issues getting them on etc the worst part is Inflating like conti's onto offset rims, especially if its not new tape. - Ratchet strap around it is sometimes required

9/7/2026 9:38am Must we, every 3 months, have this same tired drivetrain discussion. You like what you like, I like what I like. No one cares. Start a new topic if you guys want to duke it out about how terrible the wireless world is. Back to the rumors: 30T ochains on more builds in the future from a few brands.

9/7/2026 9:37am I've sold a small handful of XTR bikes this year, and we've had a fair number of them come back with broken rings. We have near constant complaints about Shimano brakes being significantly louder than other models, and have yet to manage a consistent way to quiet them down, even after investing in a bedding machine. Shimano went proprietary for their freehub even though it was extremely obvious that they could have used HG or paid into XD. Their road 12s systems are on HG still. The new "UDH" achieves nothing. The current UDH has a shelf at the bottom...

9/2/2026 12:53pm It just goes to show that the actual tune of the shock has a lot to do with how the shock performs on a bike.

9/1/2026 9:32pm Towards the middle of the month, there's going to be a presentation about Shimano's '27 stuff behind closed doors, for whatever that's worth.

8/31/2026 2:37pm The idea of a company that only does development cycles when they feel they have changes worth making does sound nice but you would think the new Di2 drivetrains would be better if that were the case

8/31/2026 9:41am Saint drivetrain with 12sp chain and no clutch, now a competing UDH standard. (incoming 13sp MTB drivetrain? *eyeroll *) Can Shimano come out with a single new product without a braindead decision? Maybe the new brake rotors but come on that's not interesting or innovative. Also does anyone give a f about Shimano's new brakes? I've yet to see them in the wild, and have seen exactly ONE wireless Shimano drivetrain. Very sad to me because I've always been a Shimano fanboy because they made simple, sensible products. I woke up one day and all of my bikes have been...

8/29/2026 6:27pm That certainly is an interesting start into a post about tone policing. Out of curiosity, did you for example bother checking the Fox part list? The only listed rebound tune for Grip X is called RF (Rebound firm). Like, it's not even a secret. You do have a point here or there of course, but the way you posted is not the way you'd want the interaction coming your way I'm sure.
