Thought: If they mount an empty can there they can shape the number plate to be a fairing while staying within the aerodynamic rules. The number plate has to be shaped that way to accommodate actual equipment?
Next up, everyone is wearing back protectors that happen to be teardrop shaped.
so what's happening to the mechanical options? any word on that? will the current products stay in the lineup? are they planning to release new mechanical stuff in the future? (2030 maybe?)
The pricing is definitely weird. There is basically just a 15% difference between XT and XTR. It's almost just about getting basic Deore or all features XTR without being too bothered by XT at all.
$435 retail for a replacement of the bottom-tier derailleur that will ship on cheap bikes seems completely daft. Joe-shmo is going to quit mountain biking after he smokes his first derailleur and doesn't want to pay up to replace it.

Wait, you can do that? My 2006 Toyota Matrix is gonna look sick with clip-on Brembo brake calipers.

Interesting that they have gone with the horizontal shock like every other brand, the liv xc bike is flex stay and vertical shock, assumed the new anthem would be the same. Can't see the rear dropout area, but the production bike has to be a flex stay doesn't it?
Can we call this general layout XC crab or something?
It's the lightest layout... And it gives the option to carry 2 water bottles.
The current Anthem is already a flex-stay design (and has been since MY2023). Since Giant has already moved away from Maestro for its XC line -- and has used aluminum flex-stay suspension on its lower-end full suspension bikes for many years, too -- perhaps they're feeling more free to experiment with new layouts/configurations. Will be interesting to see if that carries over to production bikes or not.
that's stupid from fox, we've already seen all this pictures anyway in public channels, with proper articles, so now it became a secret again? i don't get it

Did they say for certain it was production and releasing soon? Edit to add: because that picture was clearly more than just a rando prototype. Looked a lot like a production sample/ pre-release unit… I knew it was going to get taken down because of that. They have a plan for the lead up to the launch and whatever that was ain’t in the plan

It's not that it becomes a secret again! It's that the folks at Vital do it out of courtesy. It's a mutual respect thing. When someone at Fox is taking spy shots and posting them here, that could be anything from an over excited employee, to corporate espionage.

I do feel deleting from the rumours forum undermines the point of having a rumours forum.... There is a big difference between posting and article of leaked images as a industry journalist and some random person posting on a forum.
Proto- calipers from Shimano on Goldstone’s and one of his teammates’ bikes looking like something Saintish??? Anyone got the details?
from rick schubert pit bits that will go up later today - proto brake on jackson's bike. no details given other than "might be the long-awaited Saint update."
Next up, everyone is wearing back protectors that happen to be teardrop shaped.
Looks like Troy's on Freedom Coast levers?
Deore and XT Di2 is here to join it's more expensive sibling XTR. On overview of everything can be found here -

And since pricing is probably what people want to know most, I put everything together in one spot.
Here are two other helpful assets to differentiate shifter and derailleur differences.
Specialized Gravity put up some Insta posts showing more details of the Brembo's
So it’s a Deore upgrade kit at a SLX price? Shimano is so weird sometimes.
didn't have a new izzo spec with 36sl and xt di2 on my bingo card for this month

There is no more SLX.

Even more pad shapes to stock!! Woohoo!!
Sure, just don't brake too hard, molten red plastic is not the right look. Or is it 🤔
After 20+ years, will we see a Minion DHF 2?
Correct. No big price gap between XT and Deore. Deore is the new SLX.

Don't think it will be long now.

Rumored release date of 2036

I'm here for it. I still am a huge DHF fan and an updated version would be big!
Adding the L shaped shoulder knobs to the middle is a bold move. I've not seen any other tyres that look like that!
Next week.

Maybe they'll call it the DTF?
