lots speculating Kyle on Fez; it's not Fez.

Kyle and Rachel were on last year’s trail bikes down here in the Texas Hillcountry last weekend where they were racing DS and running a clinic.

(P1 for Rachel, P2 for Kyle behind a local on a ratty singlespeed hardtail)

You think Yeti frames are expensive now, could you imagine if they were actually Made In USA?

It would definitely distinguish them from other primo brands.

U.S. enduro racer Bella Naughton has joined KHS for 2024!

We are thrilled to have one of the best female North American Enduro athletes join our squad for the 2024 season. Bella is no stranger to podiums when it comes to the big mountain Enduro and other top-notch North American Enduro races. We are also excited to be supporting her when it comes to the Downhill side of things she will be competing in the monster energy American Downhill Series along with other Premier events. We can’t wait to see what Bella Naughton can accomplish under the KHS umbrella, welcome to the family!

Born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, I grew up racing off-road trucks and ski racing. My family raced mountain bikes but I never found an interest in it until I was talked into joining my high school’s cross-country team in 2016. I then went to an enduro race with my mom and fell in love with going downhill and I haven’t stopped since.

I am excited to be on the KHS race team for 2024 and looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in enduro and downhill!

So we placing bets on what Frame Gwinner is riding?

I want to see the yeti thing so bad, to see his career go full circle. But I think it's a pipedream.

I'd love to see a small US manufacturer like frameworks, canfield.... hell even a Contra!

But I get that feeling it will be a Trek, specialized, Commencal thing. Safe money in that bet.

Who's betting their right nut on something weird!?

I would think he'll likely be on an Intense again. Boring, I know, but that's what I'd bet money on.

I'm going to walk on the wild side and go with Gwin Racing on GT frames this year.

It's a good platform to race on, it's an American brand, and it'll be great for his bike park.

As a fellow Tanner, I wish you all the best with this bet; however, the last time his RB athlete page was updated was September of 2023...

Isn’t Specialized already listed as rentals for Windrock?  Thought that it was posted in here.

Again, Gwin will be collecting a solid check for the frame brand he is riding. He's not going to be on Contra or some tiny brand that can't come up with up $75-100k+/yr for him to ride their frames.

I'm no Gwin hater, but I don't think Gwin can pull that kind of salary from a frame sponsor alone when he's running his own team and not on a factory team.  Maybe collectively for his whole team, but not by himself. Historically his high payouts were the result of his performance (win) bonus structure.  Objectively speaking, the last time Gwin was on a WC podium was 2018. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked he's still racing and even more stoked he's investing in bike parks, US racing, etc, but I'm not holding my breath that he's going to have the kind of winning season that resulted in his million dollar yearly payout. His name recognition does carry value, but that's only one part of the equation when it comes to sponsors opening their checkbooks.

Well Gwin was on the podium (4th) in Val Di Sole in 2022....

Probably not a salary. But 75 - 100k to cover a part of expenses seems more than plausible

Three 4th places. Maybe podium wasn't the correct term for what I meant, which was medal position.

He might get more as a non factory team. They can just throw money and product his way - they don’t have to pay the team manager’s salary, the videographer, the travel expenses, the mechanic, etc. It’s far cheaper to be non-title sponsor.

It's a good platform to race on, it's an American brand, and it'll be great for his bike park.

Was Just thinking this today.. no idea on feasibility. But would love to see it!

Intense would seem like the easy answer.  But why would you and the brand go radio silent for 2 straight months while you're rolling the frame out of production.  You'd want it known Gwin is sticking with his design from day 0.

So let's eliminate Intense.

With Trek having a smaller WC team this year they might be interested in having the American swing a leg over their bikes and go do some racing. They got the cash and Gwin has good history with Trek.

Rachel Strait is off GT. I believe her and Kyle are going to be on same bikes as a couple (Fezzari... maybe?).

I would imagine Kyle would FOCUS on a brand with a DH bike but maybe that's not a requirement?

🤔

Getting in on the AG frame conversation

Logically it makes in my mind to stay on Intense. He’s developed the bike and Seth is familiar, helps Seth continue to grow and develop. Sticking to a platform they were so close to winning on.

long shot like a million to 1 odds

Devinci or Marin frames

🤷🏼‍♂️
