Lew has come here and responded to posts in the past. Doesn't really seem like a twat. I'm kind of shocked at the reaction to the OF helmet deal, considering that the biggest helmet sponsors in the industry have probably been way more harmful to the health of humanity (sugary, caffeinated fizzy drinks) than a website that has helped to flatten/democratize the extremely exploitative hierarchy of the porn industry.
Not just confirmed as a DH rider, but seemingly also NOT registered for enduro!?
He's pretty much done it all in enduro racing, maybe it is a farewell dh tour for him? can't wait to see him racing again!
Spot the cassette too.
Just noticed that it sounds like Max Beaupre will be getting in the EDR mix this year. 17th in Sugarloaf as a first showing is pretty solid!
Yep saw that, really cool!
Angel to unno confirmed in the uci team list
Here some more spaces you can fill in on your Team Rumors Bingo Card thanks to the UCI Riders List.
One of his insta stories the other week, he was riding a Giant.
The other site has a list of most teams now.
GT is now confirmed on Continental tires and are now called GT-Continental Factory Racing.
Emmett Hancock is now on Rocky Mountain/Race Face Enduro Team.
Is Mélanie Pugin off elite racing? She doesn't appear anywhere ...
Édit: just find she's on Fulgur...? Never Heard before😅
She’s here.
WeRide Fulgur Factory Team:
Quim Fargas Gonzalez
Alessandro Maghetti
Marco Melandri
Florian Nicolai
Mélanie Pugin
France Rudolph
Mattia Santoro
Alberto Tiberio
Mirco Vendemmia
Luca Zenone
What's Ethan Shandro up to these days? I feel like the TBI in 2019 robbed him of a promising career, and maybe more.
Hear, hear. I’d like to know more about his story too.
My notables in that list - Dan & Rachel racing with Athertons, Christo Gallagher racing with Orange Factory Racing, Alex Fayolle with GasGas Motorex Racing, Marco Melandri with WeRide Fulger
Crazy we’ve gone this long without mentioning Rachel!
didn‘t even see that… good look with 160 travel on todays DH tracks, maybe they use a different link, but that‘s not a topic for team rumors
Marco Melandri!
Just what is this team, exactly?!
What if he will be on a different frame at the start until the new Unno DH Frame arrives?
I can't imagine Angel doing proper pre-season testing on an enduro frame with enduro parts and a Fox 40... Even if that would be his setup for the start I'm sure they would put together a full DH spec bike...
Didn't he have a major concussion with complications afterwards?
At least that's what I remember.
They have a big presence in the E-EWS, I imagine Polini (motorsports components brand and now ebike motor brand) and Fulgur are pretty much the same entity.
Marco Melandri (competed against and beat Valentino Rossi in MotoGP) was their figurehead, but I think he was doing it more for fun than serious racing as he raced in the ews-100 series, effectively the amateur league, trashing us all. He would have been around midpack in the pros.
They signed Florian Nicolai and Melanie Pugin who will be pretty serious contenders in the electric realm, although Flo has been racing on the non-motorised bike at regional races (not sure if it is a training strategy or what his goals are this year). I know Ebikes are not the coolest aspect of the sport, but having a crazy talented rider on one and him not having to worry so much about fitness could be pretty interesting.
Chris Ball reveals all - on Downtime Podcast released today, apparently..
Weren't the 3 Atherton siblings also listed last year (and the year before, I think)?
You are right. Dan was always listed as an active team member.
I guess that's what was meant by the TBI. As far as I remember he had a concussion and the post-concussion symptoms never went away or something along those lines. If it's still the case, it sucks hard.
some Australian dude did pretty well at Fort William, last year, on an "enduro" bike
True, but if a dedicated DH bike from said company allowed him to be even one percent faster, that Austrian would have finish 14th instead of 30th.
Got this one right 😎
Think he is a good fit on this team!

He finished 18th actually, not too bad...
They do have a dedicated dh bike now
Haha, he's only 40 - maybe he found his retirement sport?
