Why did they use a spring loaded chain tensioner instead of one that just slides and bolts in place? It seems like the wear on the internal chains would be negligible enough to justify this - is that the case or was there another reason?

I'm sure he had spares he just crashed in them in Snowshoe... its a good thing concussion protocols are getting better and people aren't running helmets that have sustained an impact. If i had to guess riding practice didn't violate contracts but racing would have?

Yep, RPC in practice, cant tell maybe one of Laurie's or Jacksons helmets? Probably would breach either a 100% or a Red Bull contract to either race in a plain helmet / wrong brand helmet. I doubt it was a Trek thing and more of a personal contract issue. If I'm not mistaken Kade is also the only rider on...

Hey Jesse, I know you're a trained engineer and you're probably smarter than me and work for SRAM and I'm just some guy, but I've read that the SRAM Transmission does not use electronics to sense the shift gates in the cassette in order to sync the derailleur movements to match in time.
