12/25/2025 3:00am Don't think that's a big problem with the tubes. In case they go the Carbon route they could team up with CompoTech like Kavenz is doing currently. CompoTech is the parent company of CDuro which already did a prototype of an eBike with the Maxon Motor. And Aluminium is also easy. You get the tube parts bend as needed and...

12/23/2025 8:02am Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

12/8/2025 3:19am When I started this thread years ago (under an old username that I got locked out of... Still bummed about that @sspomer ) I never would have imagined to surpass 100 pages, let alone a thousand! Since I started the thread as a senior in high school, I have gone from a shop rat with too much free time to an industry employee who is bound by NDA's. I've had to keep my mouth and keyboard quiet on a ton of subjects, some of which have been pretty accurate to the ideas tossed around! I hope someday bike companies will...

11/26/2025 11:29pm Okay, so we have carcinization for bike suspension, but is there a similar process for clip-in pedals where they all eventually use some variation of Shimano cleats? Spudification?

11/18/2025 11:20pm He didn't really absolve all the debts. He bought back the company, which he was not a major owner of anymore due to the prior sale, and the administrators accepted his offer as the best. They reviewed and agreed that his offer would provide creditors adequate compensation out of all the offers available. It just so happened that the CEO was the one to buy it with his own money/financing. It would also be legal in the US. What he did as CEO before insolvency was also legal, in that he ran a sale to get cash ostensibly to save...

11/17/2025 1:40am Have you looked at this? https://www.kinematrix.com.au/about Approaches from the opposite end of the spectrum... Put targets in, kicks out pivot points. You need to be a bit more mindful of packaging constraints, so worth putting back into linkage before you move to cad. Thinking about manufacturing, and method, now gives you a great head start... Keep that in mind all the time, picture and pester your mates about design choices and changes. It'll save you a ton of time by not approaching it iteratively

11/7/2025 4:35am Without any knowledge to what they actually use I would guess perhaps the new Maxon Motor. I had a quick ride on the CDuro prototype with the motor and seen the Dedicated Bike with it. Both share a similar construction as the Atherton bike and a square downtube for the battery can be integrated pretty easily. Apart from that the...

11/6/2025 12:28am Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.
