1/16/2025 3:38pm Since my post was previously deleted… I’m sure Pivot team management are on the lookout for the brightest, most eager young stars to bring into the family 🙏

1/16/2025 3:36pm And how many races were won due to a rider's sprinting ability that would have been eaten up by gear box efficiency? Color me suspect, but I don't think gearboxes are the biking panacea people claim they are.

1/15/2025 10:57am I’d assume people would prefer to be on teams with coaches and nutritionists and multiple line spotters and psychologists. Basically a ton more support. If I were to make a guess, that’s probably why the Jewett brothers went elsewhere. They’re super talented racers but they need coaches and psychologists to go up the results sheet and that doesn’t seem to be an option with PFR. I don’t know anything about BK as a person. I thought the Jenna thing was wild and something I wouldn’t do but Morganne and Emilie (sp?) have enough pull in their public standing and industry...

1/15/2025 10:10am He's done all of that, and riders should be flocking to his team to get coached by him, but they haven't picked anyone up yet, that has to mean something.

1/15/2025 10:10am I dunno man, the BK rep around Surrey is very murky to say the least… even without Jenna in the mix.

1/15/2025 9:25am Ok ill say it with my chest then. It's Pivot. I like the brand and BK is a bad look for them. I want them to do well, but in my opinion, they have to get rid of him and his Baggage to succeed.

1/15/2025 9:06am Heard from a little birdie that Forbidden has a couple riders lined up that will be announced soon, not exactly sure who but allegedly it will put them top 15 on points easily Edit- IMHO It would make sense that at least one of which would probably be female as they're light on that front. Probably one to replace Brook...

1/14/2025 2:44pm Uhm actually Shimano Dura-Ace Track 7700 launched in 1996 is the longest running unchanged shimano gruppo. /nerd And yeah most spokes versions are 20+ years old. D-light was 2010 and CX-Ray was 1997 for Sapim.

1/14/2025 9:33am It straight up works. Why change it? Man bike riders are a fickle bunch, not happy when a good product doesn't get updated or revised, not happy when a part constantly changes.

1/14/2025 8:29am When Momo is between the tape, the only death grip involved is between my butt cheeks and the couch cushion.

1/14/2025 8:27am His ex teammate Elliott Heap is also riding a Foes and has a load of Hope components fitted, which could also suggest SRAM were not onboard with the whole Foes project.

1/13/2025 1:38pm With respect Phil has been struggling to be a regular top 30 finisher the last few years. And like Kade and Kaos his skills may be more valuable producing content rather than racing World cups. And that sucks cos those boys really lit up the vital raw , sleeper co. and Ben cathro videos over the world cup weekends. Sad to see the gifted steezy and technical riders are being forced out of the racing side of the sport now . I wanna see some rowdy shit being done on some wild lines not just a load of Frenchies deathgripping...

1/13/2025 1:38pm Considering he's world champ you'd think he'd be on the muc off team, but then again someone said Dan atherton could win a World Cup this year so any thing is possible

1/13/2025 1:04pm OneUp SPD compatible pedal incoming, as light as XTR Trail with (almost) the platform of Saint and DH Mallet. Claim to fame, thinnest SPD on the market, and they've tightened up the binding so you don't get that metal on metal vague feeling (before reaching the float). There was an exclusive Downtime podcast on it a couple of days ago which now seems to have been pulled down, they may have jumped the gun.

1/13/2025 1:03pm As someone who is a huge fan of the current Float X, I don't know how you can release a 200mm DH bike with a float x as the only shock option and claim it's a serious race contender with a straight face.

1/13/2025 8:32am They’ve only sold one “year” of the TR11 and they’ve been sold out for ages. A handful of frames recently became available on their website. My theory is that that they were warranty frames being held back and delivery of new colors is imminent. It’s interesting to hear that it’s considered a flop. I really like mine and they were pretty hard to get when they came out. Maybe the recall hurt them.

1/13/2025 8:32am Yeah upon closer inspection it is almost certainly a transition. The frame lines look quite different from the Max Grayston shots above, and the rocker is completely different to the Orbea. The tube set is almost identical to the patrol alloy, and the anvl kit is surely the nail in the coffin.

1/13/2025 8:32am Transition have used solid side plane rockers as far as I know for 4+ years now. This one has a massive hole through it, which is very unlike their designs. The biggest change recently is the new sentinel has a one piece rocker whereas they've used 2 piece rockers for a while, but even then it doesn't have the hole in it. The avil bar and stem is a weird one. The TR11 and Spire are on sale from transition so it's highly likely they have a new frame on the way, but I'd imagine it would be more similar...
