AM/ Enduro bikes (as in non-electric) will not really be a thing in 3-5 years. I'm certain I'll get downvoted for this, heck I would have downvoted this 2 years ago, but in a world where a mid-power e-bike and a full Enduro bike has their weights converge, the bike just becomes redundant. I pedaled my Enduro bikes for a lot of years but at this point it just seems silly to exert so much energy and ride time into the climbing portions of the ride.

" There is no timing, there's no sensor that knows the position of the cassette. The magic is in the cassette itself, which is designed more like an OG front dual chainring with ramps that only move the chain up when it hits those designed shift points. With how many tweaks the big S does to the Stumpy I would be surprised if they *don't* always have a new one on the way. New Enduro is waiting to clear stock for sure. You can only assume they don't want to end up in the mess Trek is in selling current gen and previous gen side by side.

Some riders adapt to a bike more than wanting the bike to adapt to them. They seem to get focused more on changing the bike as they get older (more experience of what they want). Younger guys are happy to have support and just push through. I think some riders over think it and some riding styles don't mesh with certain designs/suspension kinematics. I really believe that there isn't any "bad" bike on the W.C. circuit, just some more suited based on riding style. "Find your perfect match"

It is sad, but the reality is bike purchases are heavily driven by aesthetics. In some ways you want to respect companies that cling to their image but is it really worth doing so at the expense of failing? Ibis adapted by getting rid of the swoopy top tube. But Intense is another example of a company that refuses to get rid of questionable branding and may go the way of the dodo if they don't adapt. Need to take ques from the brands gaining marketshare... i.e. WAO & Forbidden, clean lines & minimal branding. Bikes need to look sexy...
