Don't you people have your tools in bags in the frame storage? I have zero rattle in there if I use the bags the frame came with. Maybe you just drop a few allen keys in there idk.

I’ve got two bikes. A 130/140 bike built up light for moving fast and a 150/160 for getting rowdy. At this point I have essentially identical tool kits in each bike so I don’t have to think about switching stuff back and forth and forgetting or losing something.

I couldn’t disagree more! After having a couple bikes with frame storage, it’s a must have feature for me. It gets oppressively hot here in Georgia for a good chunk of the year so wearing a backpack is a no go. I was an early adopter of the hip pack to keep stuff off my back. Previously that meant strapping stuff to my frame. But that leaves your tube exposed to the elements and there’s nothing worse than needing a tube and finding out it has a hole worn in it. Now, I can fit my whole fix it kit...

Out of curiosity, within the bike industry are embargo dates/times also restricted information under embargo? I listen to a few podcasts with automotive journalists and they fairly regularly talk about when they will be allowed to talk about things.

Go look at inflation, high end bikes have always been expensive. In 2004, an SWorks Enduro was $4800. (Around $8500 today). In 2009, an SWorks Epic was $8800. (Approximately $13,000 today) I don’t understand why everyone suddenly thinks the sky is falling. Next everyone will be complaining that $250,000 for a Huraćan is insane because a Countach used to be $100,000. It’s not like you were going to buy one anyway.

e*thirteen's new Sidekick Hub is here, and I had the opportunity to spend a day riding it back-to-back with a regular hub to see how it works and how it improves suspension performance. I started a new forum topic to chat about the Sidekick HERE Full press release with more info HERE Complete Sidekick product range info HERE

One person says we don't need 5-10mm longer C's 20mm longer reach and 64.5 ha mid travel bikes and another says it's exactly what we need. The great thing about having soo many choices is that you should be able to find exactly what you want so long as you aren't locked into a specific brand. Don't get upset because the brand you want doesn't make your ideal geo, very high chances are someone else does make it. Give me long chainstays, long wheelbase, linear travel, and slack. One in mid travel and one in burly long travel.

It seems that the new enduro is really close and probably the ubb one? The user manual is different to the one for the 2019-2023 models, as shown in the picture. And for the old model you have the updated seat stay in satin black with udh: " For 2025, there is a new seatstay that uses the UDH derailleur hanger. All other compatibility information remains the same. The new seatstay is backwards compatible with 2020-2024 model year frames and fits all sizes. The part number is S245000013, with only a satin black colorway available. "

I guess you could have a spring somewhere between the cable clamp and the mech. You push the shifter, it stretches the spring until the cassette rotates to a shift point and then the tension in the spring moves the mech.

As an Enduro owner, I feel like the seat angle is a bit overblown. While it would be nice if it was a bit steeper, it still rides fine and I basically never think about it. I would argue the fact that so little needs changing after 5 years show how much they nailed the design in the first place. I’m still consistently impressed by how well it pedals for a bike with that much travel.

If product life cycle length influenced pricing Shimano Saint would be free by now. 😆

I kind of like that they are doing this, its a great bike and it doesn't really need an update. Does that mean that the bikes should be a little cheaper especially the frame only option since the molds are long paid for?

Why would Mondraker want the mass damper on the end of the swingarm though, on the unsprung mass. Wouldnt you want it on the sprung mass? (Like on carlinojoevideos setup above)

I think mechanical t-type is inevitable. There is a schematic for frames on the UDH website that includes a cable stop. Posted a pic of it months ago. I can try to find it again when I get back to my computer.

2 rumors, 1 leading to another... Part of it might have been discussed previously, but I couldn't find any references in the thread. Devinci is launching a new Troy, sometime in September. There staff openly talk about it. Made of aluminum only, welded in Canada, with frame storage, will have mullet capabilities. Rear travel goes to 150, with 160 fork. Reach is growing about 5 mm. All SRAM builds. Top one with GX AXS t-type. The less expensive build are NX. This release has been pushed back by more then 6 months now. Shop employees are saying there is an...

Just feels different. Like we are all welcome to our opinions, but that doesnt make them right, certinally doesnt make them right for someone else. You might like Shimano brakes, I might prefer SRAM, doesnt make you right and me wrong, or vice versa....just differing opinions. And contrary to what American popular media would have you believe, it doesnt mean that we cant get along. bikes are cool, and thats rad

100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is! Oh well, we call it the superfoxy now and it is 170/160mm. -Oh ok, sorry I didn't keep up with the name changes, but can I still get a Dune? -Of course sir, right this way, 170/165mm hard hitter, beautiful...

I would add that part of this is also that the major evolution in the last 2-3 years have been in ebikes, which this forum is relatively hostile towards. Generalization and hyperbole incoming: take a 2021 ebike and compare it to it's 2024/5 variant, it will look better, have better geo, better integration, more range, more power, lighter... Take a 2021 MTB and compare it to its 2024/2025 variant, it's the same bike but with headset routing, no rear derailleur routing and maybe some minor reworking of front and rear lengths or suspension curves barely anyone can feel.
