9/10/2025 1:28pm How sad. Since when did this forum become some kind of gossip column, bitching about pro riders who you don’t know personally and have probably never met? Stop this nonsense and just enjoy the spectacle. This season is becoming another classic. Hope it goes to the final round.

9/8/2025 9:16pm The thing is it's unridable in the wet without these berms, so now the track is not so technical, and mostly only steep. As you said they did a great job cutting some corners. But if you want to have fun, I can suggest everybody tries to ride champery in the wet. I did it twice, and twice I had fear for most of it. It's maybe not so great to watch, but it will make a great race I think.

9/8/2025 7:26pm There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...

9/6/2025 8:01pm I prefer Vital because people are allowed to have different opinions here—most people seem to remember we’re just talking about expensive toys for grownups on this site. I can’t go to pinkbike anymore because of the holier-than-thou attitude on all topics, and if you don’t agree you are treated like a leper. I don’t have extreme opinions by any means, but it feels like I do on PB since everyone’s reaction there is so vitriolic. Thanks for being real, Vital.

9/6/2025 8:00pm I kinda think it's a natural reaction. What I like about this site is we mostly appear to be grownups and things get diffused. On the other one it usually escalates. It feels ridiculous to type this out, but somehow there's a nicer vibe here. Sorry for the derail.

9/5/2025 11:22am I already got downvoted for this but since we all want more linear air springs why not just do a coil Zeb? I’m planning on nokening my Zeb so I’m pro-your setup but I think there is a proven market for a coil RS product given all the conversions and how much people like them (especially eeb riders it seems)

9/2/2025 8:40pm I have both O-Chain and Sidekick on two different bikes. The elastomers on the O-Chain seem to do a better job at reducing some pedal feedback. Also when you engage a Sidekick quickly, going to flat or casing, there is noticeable thunk, when the pawls engage. Also there is some movement before the elastomers engage, there are three very light springs inside. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

9/2/2025 8:32pm The 20k bike is brilliant- if they sell at full pop you make a huge margin. If they don’t sell and you mark them 50% off you still make decent margins. Also- we’re all talking about it.

8/29/2025 8:53am The other way to have lower bushing clearance and smooth action is to design and manufacture the product correctly, including the necessary alignment and clearance between bushings/stanchions. Other companies don't seem to have a problem doing this. The difference felt between a fork with correct clearance and one that binds is absolutely noticeable. Of course it all depends on how "bad" the misaligned one is, and also rider weight. Smaller, lighter riders will notice it more. I have felt it myself on numerous occasions, most recently with the PUSH 9.1. If you are not working on suspension and come across...

8/28/2025 1:09pm Yeah thats pretty much what I was going to say! When they say to start with "sag" I think they are just meaning to set the spring rate full stop, in whatever method so its at least in the ballpark. ie not just bolting it on with whatever spring or pressure it had in the box. And I always like to work through spring rate first - find the point which is definitely too stiff and too soft and then work back in from there. Its amazing how often the "sag" can seem about right and not obviously too stiff...

8/28/2025 1:08pm I always struggle with knowing if I should lower spring rate and add volume spacers/compression damping, or if I should increase spring rate and remove damping in order to get compliant but supportive feel. I used to focus purely on soft initial feel and bottom out resistance, so I would run a lot less air with a ton of spacers, but then I learned a bit more about suspension and realized I was robbing myself of support and potentially inducing harshness by being deep into the travel. I've been learning a bit more about suspension and also getting into some...

8/28/2025 12:54pm So I came to riding the Albert 2.5 Trail Radial soft in the back on steep alpine trails a bit vs the Supertrail 2.6 Mary Soft that was a bit worn before. I used slightly higher pressure (1,3 bar vs 1,34 bar) to account for lower volume. Its hard to do a comparison in this setting riding a new tire after replacing a slightly worn one and I can't say anything to the sturdiness as it was mostly steep alpine terrain. So no big high speed rocky hits. It just feels like the tire knobs twist more on ashalt which...

8/28/2025 12:50pm My responses are out of concern for a rider who spent what I consider to be a large amount of money with my company, and not being happy with the results. That's not acceptable to me. It doesn't matter where the customer bought our product; I only ask as it helps with context. In the case of my first post, the rider was trying someone else's fork, so there's no more than I could offer. In regard to the post that you linked...something about the original fork that Skunk Works received just seemed off, and we wanted a longer look...

8/28/2025 12:50pm So is poor bushing fit and chassis bind now a "good thing"? Saying you don't notice bushing bind in a fork that has never been ridden without the bushings binding is pretty funny. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/comment-fork-alignment-and-friction-in-th…

8/28/2025 12:50pm I guess I should have put an emoji in my comment, as this was meant to be tongue-in-cheek mostly. That being said, it is my understanding that the Dorado fender is a one-piece structure completely integrated into the guards, much like what DVO did, which is different than what we're doing. As for EXT, their system was introduced long after we had begun going down this path. At the end of the day, we'll just have to see how things play out. This is definitely not my area of expertise. PUSH is a very small company compared to companies such...

8/28/2025 12:03pm Yeah. With more info I got I’m now more convinced that they actually specified a wrong etrto, and 30.5 rims and tires are actually a thing Buddy reports that the outside rim diameter he measured is 648mm (obviously etrto iso bsd should be a bit less) Also, chaoyang tires (a relatively well known Chinese tire brand) specifies (unreleased yet as...
