Yo, also on the trail crew. Not really down to get into the mud with all of the environmental permitting stuff which is really above my dirt-shaping pay grade, but misinformation about the crew test riding our own course build is where I draw the line. We rode it last week on trail bikes and will be riding more this week. T>B

The 2FO DH are stiff, like the Impact Pro. The 2FO Roost are less so, but still stiffer than the Freerider Pro.

Finally got through the Enduro Mag tyre test article and as the test results are given basically in full, but give a bad overview, I put everything ina Google Sheets spreadsheet. I also added tyre diameter (all 29...), width (mostly 2.4 and 2.5 inches), casing (trail, enduro, downhill) and compound softness (hard, medium soft). Please don't make a mess of it (I guess Vital people are chill), as the link gives full editing permissions. I'm lost regarding tread softness when it comes to Kenda, Pirelli, Specialized, VeeTire and WTB and lost regarding casings for the latter two as well, so...

Seatpost insertion lengths. 🙂 I think it's unlikely there will be a consolidation when it comes to the mounting interface as that is precisely what gives "you", the motor supplier, some assurance you will be selling units. If it was the same across different suppliers, you could be dropped for DJI in a heartbeat. There is zero incentive to be cross compatible, unless you're a niche, small scale manufacturer and looking to get your foot in the door. Bosch, Brose, DJI and the like are not such companies.

The thing is it's unridable in the wet without these berms, so now the track is not so technical, and mostly only steep. As you said they did a great job cutting some corners. But if you want to have fun, I can suggest everybody tries to ride champery in the wet. I did it twice, and twice I had fear for most of it. It's maybe not so great to watch, but it will make a great race I think.

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. I kinda think it's a natural reaction. What I like about this site is we mostly appear to be grownups and things get diffused. On the other one it usually escalates. It feels ridiculous to type this out, but somehow there's a nicer vibe here. Sorry for the derail.

I already got downvoted for this but since we all want more linear air springs why not just do a coil Zeb? I’m planning on nokening my Zeb so I’m pro-your setup but I think there is a proven market for a coil RS product given all the conversions and how much people like them (especially eeb riders it seems)

I have both O-Chain and Sidekick on two different bikes. The elastomers on the O-Chain seem to do a better job at reducing some pedal feedback. Also when you engage a Sidekick quickly, going to flat or casing, there is noticeable thunk, when the pawls engage. Also there is some movement before the elastomers engage, there are three very light springs inside. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
