I'm sorry this is pedantic but every VPP and DW link suspension design is already a four bar linkage

all you need to know about PVD is that he once put mineral oil in a brake designed for DOT (might've been vice versa) to "see what would actually happen"

It's not a knowledge or concept problem. It's an attitude problem. PVD is TOXIC.

I once sent PVD an honest question by email about a technical drawing on his website and he answered : "W hat your asking falls into the 'that's a stupid question' category. Only a terrible person would answer a stupid question." Such a nice guy

I was genuinely intrigued and was thinking of buying one of his stems because the BMB ones are so damn expensive, but an advertisement that calls people who disagree "haters and low IQ" immediately kills any chance of sending money his way.

That guy continues to strive for the asshole of the year award. Any validity of his opinion has been removed by that kneepad/short gap and that’s even before we talk about his “low IQ” dismissal of everyone who dares to disagree with him 😂

A short direct mount stem would be great to design as a first CAD project, and learning CAD is fun and extremely useful. A regular stem would be a little more tricky to model but still within reach. Copy over most of the dimensions from a stem you currently own, as long as you don't try to make something ultra-light...

What @jalopyj said. There used to be an easy way, which was to get a mullet correcting dhx2 eyelet from @CascadeComponents and a dhx2. I just checked their site, and it seems like they do not make/sell this product any longer. So, you'd have to find a second hand one, which would i bet would be finding a needle in a haystack. The other option is that you can go through avalanche downhill racing and have them create a custom eye to eye marzocchi bomber cr. If I had to guess... that would run about 400-450 on top of the...

I picked up a bag of like 30 presta valve cores on Amazon for next to nothing and swap them out if things are getting clogged.

The power on Mavens is incredible, i’ve never ridden a brake with so much power available. That said, they’re coming off my DH bike because mine refuse to be consistent for more than half a day. They’ve been worked on by myself and two different shops. They seem plagued by wandering bite points and pump up regardless of piston massages or hocus pocus bleeding rituals. Nothing kills your flow on trail like a lack of confidence in your brakes. Hopefully (pun intended) my new GR4’s will be better. They seem to have improved my main complaint from the V4.

Make it spring loaded too so it snaps into the nose-up position when you hit a lever next to your dropper while standing. Press the lever again and sit down to level the saddle back out.

I put one on all of my enduro bikes. Anyone that I've ever met that used one has been a huge advocate. When asked about difference making products in regards to improving my experience it is one of the very few things that I recommend without any caveats. I thought it was a gimmick and was given my first one as a gift. I've now bought several additional ones, both as gifts for additional bikes. Great product but I'm interested to see how the new version is better. I actually prefer the two position setting on the ones I have...

I put a switchgrade on all of my bikes. My climbs are fire roads and then straight down descents. I use 240 droppers and this usually. I can tolerate 210 with one of these on hikes with bad insertion. I’m in the desert for a few months and I’ve changed it to be flat, tilted for dh, and tilted for lots of dh. It’s not for everyone and every trail, but I’ve never regretted the purchase and find it useful nearly everywhere

It's very useful if you ride steep both up and down. More efficient uphill position so you don't have to fight to not slip back on the saddle. On the way down it provides extra clearance so it's like having a longer dropper.
