Jesse states that the clamps are custom bits to make it work. If I remember right, Seth, aside from the clamp issues, also couldn't clear the battery very well with his saddle. I wanna say that Jesse stated somewhere that he had to find a seat with the right rail height to clear. Looks like a fairly standard Reverb AXS I wouldn't be surprised if SRAM is making a lighter "race" version of the battery. There's quite a bit of dead space in that battery. Last year there was some scuttlebutt about one existing.

SRAM has quite a long list of releases for this year. How many have been done so far... Force, Transmission... Already seen in the wild are...SID line, Boxxer, Vivid, GX Transmission, Code calipers The new RED road group that "might" have a shocking piece of tech in it is "rumored" to be released at the Tour de France. Reverb AXS has been the most tight-lipped one. Although, from what I understand, there have been prototypes out there right under our noses. The new SID had been on bikes for multiple World Cups last year before anyone realized it

Are we expecting Boxxer, Vivid, and Reverb AXS updates? Or just the fork and shock? The new brake won’t be branded RockShox obviously, but as a DH oriented product, might it be released at the same time?

Probably at the WC in Lenzerheide in early June. Rumors are that they are going to do it like SRAM did with the Transmission, releasing it at the first big XC Event of the season.

Yeah- this is true, had to get a rear triangle for my Sb5.5 through the US shop I bought from, and carried to europe with visiting family. Silverfish in the UK tried to help (nice blokes) but Yeti shut them down and said I needed to go through the US system. All worked out but total hassle and 3mo wasted rather than a few weeks.

I know I know. I wrestled with doing it but after mountain biking for 25+ years and owning probably 50+ bikes, I'm finally having a custom bike built exactly how I want it. I don't plan to ever sell the bike and will probably hand it down to one of my kids. I'm also having the builder not install any cable routing for shifting, It's going to primarily be a single speed so I wanted to have as clean a frame as possible. The builder is also including UDH dropouts so if I do want to run gears it will...

No. In general communication protocols typically send messages in chunks (streaming). The chunks are then combined and a unique identified for that message is checked. Basically there is a mathematical process where a long message can be converted to a short unique signature (a hash). If the hashes match then it the receiver knows the whole message has been received and it is valid. If junk data gets in the mix it invalidates the hash and the receiver knows the result is invalid The bluetooth protocol itself also includes a whole bunch of handshake protocols for devices to identify themselves...

It is really cool to see this stuff coming out for us peons. I checked the under the collar height and it's 7mm less than OneUp's closest offerings, albeit 10mm less travel. But I'd take the 200mm post. 290mm insertion length, and not having to worry about a cable, and more travel than an AXS post... SOLID. If the actuation speed is fast, and reliability is there, I'd call this post a winner.

And then they reinforced it, same as the change to the seat tube area and the carbon vertical links before that.

Yeah that system is super tidy! I came across that last year sometime and hes made some nice progress since then. I really like the dashboard layout he's used - its nice and clean with stacks of info available at a glance without getting messy. The rotary encoders are a great idea - especially at the back end, but also a novel way to do the fork. Linear pots are at the wrong end of the price vs durability scale so its cool to see some alternatives being tested

Yeah that is a pretty complete system. Found that guys repo on Github while doing some research and starting my project. Mine is unfortunately a bit delayed as I started a new job and have been quite busy. I tried measuring some data on the weekend but ran into issues with my front sensor.
