High Latitude Cycle Industries = Northern Cycle Industries (Norco's original name)? Norco could use a rider closer to the pointy end, so Dak would be a good fit.

No one is selling DH bikes though, We always say DH is the F1 of the sport, and manufacturers aren't doing F1 to sell road cars either I'd imagine. It's about pushing the boundaries. Developing better, faster, stronger bikes. For the sheer fucking love of the sport. Take for instance the new specialized enduro, with arguably one of the best rear suspension platforms on the market was a trickle down of tech from the new demo design. All those New SC bikes that look the same are trickle downs from V10's etc etc. Maybe YT don't have that drive, maybe...

i wonder where he is going. there is a free spot available at an austrian team, MS Mondraker. I think he would be a good fit. Trummer and the Bulldog would make an awesome team!

Kinda the end of a downward pointing spiral of the lase years in my mind. First they drop Gwin out of nowhere, then lots of freeriders are left standing in the rain and now another nail in the coffin. Seems like they proved what they had to prove (Tues is a DH worthy bike, Tues is a freeride bike, YT as young talent brand with that worldwide casting thing) and now pull the plug on it all. Just seems to me you could do it more gentle?

No rumours on David Trummer? He's got to be one of the quickest guys without a mention in here.

Good catch! I just contacted Push to clear it up. Here is what he had to say.... "The Hypercoil by itself is not progressive, but as a system it is. Meaning that we use different bump stop legths and densities in combination with the hypercoil to adjust the level of progression. That's why you also see different color bump stops on our shocks. Our spring system is progressive, and our damping system is position sensitive with the second HBO piston." Good catch, and thank you for pointing that out!

From Whitley on the pink site. Hey Guys, please note this video is a YT production, with no input from 23 Degrees. It's YT that came to us wanting to take a break for their own reasons. Dave and Dak are signing for other World Cup Elite teams, they'll announce in January I assume. Oisin has a ride next year, and I believe Guy has some plans, but not fixed yet. It's true, I've been on the circuit for 26 years straight, so a break, especially after 2 years of covid travel hassles, isn't a bad thing, and for sure...

If there is one constant with YT, it's they consistently bail on successful racers. I think it boils down to the fact that their business model is to cut every single corner when they can when it comes to people & to spend money in big chunks when a windfall happens. Now that we're several years into the YT experiment, it feels like we're seeing a trend that they really are just winging it as they go.

An appropriately specced bike weighs what it weighs. The person above that saved 750g from wheels and 750g in tires and wheels was quite possibly using the wrong stuff before, at least if the lighter components met the usage requirements for those trails. I mean, I had a 30lb DH bike at one point because it was enough for my local trails at the time but as soon as I took it on vacation to a place with more pokey rocks and rougher trails I had a lot of reliability issues. So the question really becomes "Are you riding the...

Interesting take on this bike and Banshee’s geo in general. It’s the best bigger-travel bike I’ve personally owned. I LOVE the high stack, long rear and conservative reach, but I’m tall with long limbs. Anecdotally, I know a ton of people who love these bikes, but they tend to be taller.

Does Intense sponsor any athletes outside of WC? YT seems to be the more likely candidate here with Dak Norton and David Trummer, both of them were at the pointy end of things pretty often this season if I remember correctly.
