Why are you complaining about how it's hard to use full travel when it doesn't sound like you tried the fork with less than 2 volume spacers in it? You know what volume spacers are for right?

Are you factoring in the opportunity cost of explaining your purchase and talking about your Tesla vs. doing something productive? Smile Just ribbing ya, I wish I had an electric car. I was fortunate to be a position to buy a car early in the pandemic when dealers were virtually giving them away. I snagged a fully loaded 2017 Passat with low miles for $18k with 0% financing. It gets 30-40mpg, which is more than double what my well-loved 2006 Tacoma gets. Even still, yes, we will be trying to minimize the frequency of long road trips this summer. I'll...

Just took delivery of a Tesla (that I financed) just so I could ignore this (douchebag alert!!!). I know, financing a depreciating asset sounds like poor math but gas in my truck + ICE cost to maintain is a lot more than financing cost + taxes on a new car + depreciation factor. Electricity in Idaho is almost free, so that's nice too. (for those paying attention, the right call would be "Brines, just go buy a prius or even an outback...your math only works at 17mpg) What gas prices is impacting is my willingness to load up the old...

ti does a bit for sure, in Calgary its currenlty on the low side of canadian gas prices at 1.91/L (7.23/g i think for the US peeps) so between my wifes 3.6L Jeep and my Pathfinder and Frontier's 4.0L engine's so our shits thuuuuuusty, but with Golden, Fernie and Panorama 3h away, its really only affecting anything past Kamloops (aka Squamish and Whistler) so yes a bit, but nothing major. I'll add, that the best trails near by are 45 mins away at moose mountain, so 2x50km plus shuttle gas for a few of the laps, its a quarter tank...

Enjoy! I was just in Moab 2 weeks ago for the first time. Burro Pass was closed, but still had a great ride on the Enchilada Trail starting at top of Hazard County!

I have a trip planned from Pa to Colorado and then Moab. Its been about 9 years since I've done the Whole Enchilada. I don't care if gas is $10 a gallon. I'm going!!

Great show. Great having Dak Norton on, he's so honest. I love that I can listen to 3-4 podcasts about the same race and get so much from each one.

Are people aware that it takes soft jaws and a blowtorch/heat gun to service the air spring on a 38? Not cool!

Was just about to say now I’m in se pa I have a few good riding spots within a 20 mile radius and one that’s a legitimate 5 minute pedal from my home. But if I still lived in Portland it would be a problem.

Very lucky to have riding nearby and a Prius with a bike rack, so gas prices don't affect this decision for me. If I still lived in Portland and drove a V8 Ford van, I might feel differently. When I was in Portland, other than our quirky little illegal spot at Riverview, mountain bike rides were a minimum of 75...

That Hope Boost conversion kit adds 3mm to each side of a 142mm hub, so where your cassette is compared to a "true" boost hub is 3mm further inboard. So that's why you have a bad chainline – you're using a boost crank (52mm CL) on a non-boost drivetrain position, essentially. As you mention, using the 8120 crank would make things even worse (55mm CL). The only way to improve the situation with what you have is to remove the 2.5mm spacer from the BB assembly, that'll move your whole drive-side crankarm inboard the same amount, thus giving you a...

The “give them a chance” from what I assume are industry insiders is brutal. The fans and actual mountain bikers are one of your biggest stakeholders. Without us there is no money in this venture. Why should we give them a chance? Discovery has done nothing to provide any actual information about the product to us. This deal was announced a while ago and it’s not hard to develop a reasonable communication plan with some deliverables around how races will be broadcast. I think we all appreciate some the details take time but other than Discovery buying the rights what...
