I'm a bit surprised that it comes with a 36 and not a 38 for such a heavy bike. I though e-bikes were what the 38 was designed for.

Listened to the TEAMROBOT podcast today (yeah, backlog...) and hearing the panic braking approach to weighing the front end on a long reach, short rear end bike I immediately thought 'Porsche 911' - you have to turn them in on the brakes too due to the weight being over the rear. Are long front, short rear bikes the 911s of MTB then? Tongue

Loam (/lōm/): still refers to a soil with roughly equal proportions of sand, silt, and clay.

They're currently working on a claws to define exactly what's allowed. In the meantime they'll probably let you use them at a pinch.

Isn't the rider level thing upside down? I mean, pros ride shorter bikes, beginners tend to like the safety a long bike brings them and they are not too fussed about corners (or anything benefiting of an agile bike like jumps) because they can't ride them anyways lol

It's usually lower back that lights up first for me, likely because I sit at a desk for work and since the pandemic have done almost zero strength training/mobility work... I am coasting on credit earned in the gym the decade prior but at age 41 that is going to expire soon. Riding a bigger bike actively feels like it takes more energy from me. Sure you can just stand there and go along for the ride but that doesn't usually go very well especially in corners.

Not getting enough downvotes eh? If I were a pro racer, I would quit the team if my mechanic had to work on headset routed cables.

This. Aero has a place once you hit a certain point, other wise me and the riding buds wouldn't speed tuck on the last slight downhill to the shuttle lot every time trying to beat everyone else, but like most things, its smaller and smaller gains the tighter you get. When does it stop being worth it? And pants makes sense. Its an easy thing to change and not everyone is stuck with it every day. Wearing a pair of baggy moto pants/shorts that get caught in everything and flap around is also super annoying so that could have had...

I am surprised you didn't end up with your teeth rubbing on the front tire. Luckily the rear wheel didn't lock up on you. This is just not paying attention to normal maintenance. The bolts had to have been loose as shit for a while to have this happen. Maybe that was the rattling sound you were hearing for the past 3 rides. Has nothing to do with E-bike hubs. Has to do with the e-bike rider.
