Yeah, go ahead and put a 29 x 2.3 tire on a 700c road bike. Hell go try to put a 45C tire on a road bike. Hell some road bikes won’t even clear a 32. I don’t know what the hell you guys are trying to say but you’re wrong and it has nothing to do with the fact that 32 inch wheels are than 29. If you are a racer there is no chance in hell that you are going to leave speed on the table. Our sport will continue to evolve so long as people keep racing...

I clicked that video for a laugh and a trip down memory lane, but yo Laurie is straight up destroying on that old bike and flat pedals. Super impressive and entertaining riding on any bike. RIPPING.

Brembo's decision to not fill the brakes because "they don't do that for car brakes" is the most Italian reasoning I can think of, so I would fully believe that

How many of us would have instantly paid $350 to have this when we were balls deep on the first CC install 🤣

I’ve had t4v4 with and without mod T4e4 with mod t4tr4 with mod Tech evo GR4 with normal and power lever T4v4 has light lever pull When paired with the bearing it has a slightly sharper bite point GR4 feels the best to me, a tad less modulation and harder lever pull, partially fixed with the power lever I ran the power lever with the bite point contact half in so get the levers close to the bar, that’s where it feels the best to me V4 calipers are noisy for whatever reason, same with the e4 Tr and gr...

So, to preface what I'm about to say is that I am not anti-e-bike and that I'm ready for the downvotes. I don’t disagree that adding a motor is a huge innovation; my point is more about where the innovation energy is going and how uneven it feels right now. When I say “analog bikes lack innovation,” I don’t mean there’s none. Things like improved materials, better tolerances, frame designs, wireless shifting, etc. are all real advancements. But compared to the explosive pace of e-bike development, it feels like the entire industry’s R&D gravity has shifted dramatically toward electrification and...

Interesting read and some good thoughts here. Im not really the target audience Since I do all my own service, More because I cant help myself - I like to understand how things work and how to get the longest life from a product I spent money on, as a bonus It's quite fun and Takes up some of my Free time, which I luckily seem to be in excess of. Now, I have been caught busy before some Events especially during summer, so I have dropped my Bike/s at the shop/s in the past(or for warranty work eek) It...

Hello! I admit I have seen the ”Shimano Reports Bike Maintenance a Hidden Barrier to Participation” title on the home page and I got curious. I didn't read the entire thing, nor did I read all the comments here, as I don't have time right now (but I will make some time to read), so excuse me, but I feel the urge to say something. From my understanding, Shimano is whining that in Europe people are cycling less, because bike maintenance is hindering them. Did I understand right? If yes, than I find Shimano to be at least a bit...

I have designed a 40mm rise, 25mm reach for 35 handlebars for my 29" modified Intense M9 not long ago😜 I do it for the love of the game, maybe we can work together on something? We can end up designing something custom and having it made there in the land of the free (?)

I tried a bunch over the years and now settled on the ION scrub amp as my go to for several years now. It has a great balance of grip, durability, sole stiffness, and toe/inner ankle protection. Frankly, a bit astounded this shoe doesn't get more love.

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

I think for those not as in tune with skateboarding they're kinda missing... The context. Phelps is the type of asshole that people tend to refer as "our asshole". He was not 'nice' and he was never attempting to mislead people into thinking so. Quite the opposite. He made it as known as possible that he is polarizing, and that skateboarding itself is polarizing. THAT SAID... He wasn't quite 'going out of his way' to specifically ruin someone's day. He is not evil. He is basically the end game level of core lord. The absolute apotheosis of lot lizard. He's...
