I'd be extremely disappointed in the bike industry if they didn't take this opportunity to also introduce a new hub standard. That would be VERY uncharacteristic of them.

32" is a standard size that has existed for decades

So, going to ask this question fully understanding the debates and tech here... So everyone is saying 32" will NEED new/wider hub spacing, especially for DH. WHY? Most companies are designing asymetric rims. spoke tensions are even. now, on top of that, commencal is running 32h rear 28h front. so going down in spoke count. AND most teams are running LESS spoke tension to get better traction (and in turn INCREASE wheel flex). So.... if you take that into account, I see no need to run wider flanges on a 32h asymmetric rim at full tension. Also... most of us...

As someone who is a huge fan of the current Float X, I don't know how you can release a 200mm DH bike with a float x as the only shock option and claim it's a serious race contender with a straight face.

With the first pass of 2025 UCI team data released, let's take a look at how things are shaking out. It's rough out there kids. In past years this data hasn't been final at initial release, so things may change a little in the coming weeks. As expected the number of teams in 2025 has come down dramatically - a roughly 38% decrease across all disciplines. Good catch. I was a little confused with this so I digged around and found that Emmy Lan is also on the Dunbar team. Those who noted Connor didn't officially say goodbye goodbye could be correct. Maybe forbidden is getting some help with their gravity team this year and no longer are a "factory" team and have Dunbar/ Corsa cycles joining the program for support... Interesting as at this time I don't think Dunbar or Corsa sells forbidden bikes. Both Emmy Lan and Rhys Verner reside in Squamish where Corsa cycles is located...
