I don't think it's xenophobia as much as it is that they appear to be a straight rip-off off of Trickstuff. Will be interesting to see if DT Swiss feels the same way (and does something about it).

Welding is the biggest liability and point of failure on an Al frame. Avoiding welding removes a factor that relies on human skill and is hard to control, although before the switch to C, Al welding and forming was getting much better, the top end Al frames ~10 years ago or so were pretty nice and it looked like many welds were automated. These days though, Al is made heavy and cheap. I agree with Primoz about 7075, UTS is much higher, this can definitely be used to increase reliability or cut weight. Trickstuff’s hose ends are fully rebuildable, the barb screws into the hose and the outer part of the fitting at the same time. Since the Lewis brake is a straight up copy, I guess they went all in and copied every detail…

DM & A-line is often death gripping... especially through the braking bumps. Mavens arnt the issue. I did 3 days recently at skyline QT with Maven SLV's 200mm rs2 rotors on a 180mm bike - and as someone who suffers from clawing, I infact had less with the mavens as you can brake later and for shorter time. I guess I should explain my sentiment. Im a personal trainer and I live in a small town. I see a lot of the same people a lot. Like I said, there are the occasional 50+ year olds who ride a lot with them which is really cool. Or the occasional bigger set guy who probably would not be out riding otherwise. But what Im seeing a lot of people my age (25 or younger) getting really lazy, buying an ebike, never breaking a sweat, and getting fatter. Yeah theyre fun. So are dirtbikes. Sure I could go faster.
