3/2/2024 11:54am What i don’t understand is how Trickstuff puts so much power in the Maxima in its size and Sram needs even bigger pistons and more material (more weight) to try and match them (which is yet to be verified). As for levers, am i the only one that finds the new Sram master cylinders/levers design bad to the eye? Being so close to the bar and in the same time longish makes the handlebar look much shorter and uglier!

3/2/2024 11:51am Perhaps the stiff lever would have remained, we'll never know as he skipped this step in the setup and didn't bother to troubleshoot. Since the manual states the piston massage step is to "improve lever feel" and the review focuses on issues with lever feel, I would say that step in the setup is very important, as other reviewers such as Vital have now pointed out. It's pretty disingenuous to put SRAM on blast to his 280K followers when he didn't take the time to set up the brakes properly - no bleed, no piston massage.

2/2/2024 4:59pm SRAM says "All new SRAM Transmission chainlines are 55mm..." but I'm running mine at 52mm and it's been flawless for 2k miles...

1/24/2024 12:09pm Yes, there's such thing as too powerful. But it's relative to your tyre (and your tiredness) essentially. Put some Shimano Saint, Trickstuff Power pas, with 220mm rotors and Maxxis Rekon Race tires, you'll see if there's no such thing as too powerful

1/19/2024 9:18am Power on a 100 foot descent? No. Power when my brakes are wicked hot after trying to slow down my 215 pounds of rumbling bumbling stupidness down a mountain? Yes. You are right, brakes by and large have plenty of up front power. What they lack is power when they get really hot. This is the big variable that changes rider to rider, location to location. I'm heavier, not scared to try and go fast (which is worst than truly being fast) and can find descents north of 2K vert. While the brakes you just listed are all good, I...

1/17/2024 9:59am Looks like an updated m.2 version of Ohlins DH38 fork is on the horizon. They already have that version for RXF38 and 36. Previously some of the upgrades from m.1 to m.2 include better sealing for the air spring and bigger negative air volume.

9/21/2023 1:06pm So at the bottom it states " Status: Notice of Allowance (NOA) sent (issued) to the applicant. Applicant must file a Statement of Use or Extension Request within six" (its suppose to say six months but the webpage cuts off the text) This is meaning they will essentially show the use of the trademark or file for, I believe it's a one time extension on the trademark. If it is not being used the application is trashed. Theirs took 5 months, they probably expedited for an extra cost because otherwise it takes about a year to obtain a trademark. TLDR...

9/21/2023 1:05pm Not sure how reliable of a source this is, but it appears that Sram has applied for a trademark for 'Maven', although who knows whether that means the brakes will be coming soon or not, especially given that they're still testing those red callipers with the current Code Stealth levers as well as the Mavens https://uspto.report/TM/97920237

6/27/2023 1:18pm Sounds like buddy maybe just rode a properly bled and bedded in pair of codes for the first time (with the stealth levers). Amazing how proper brake maintenance and well setup rotors/pads with straight alignment can make a world of difference.
