If you are ok with 1150g, the 29x2.50 Albert Trail Pro Radial isn't far off at 1180g. A radial tire, even just at the front, would up the capability enough that you reconsider the importance of weight vs performance.

I don't think so. The Privateer's top tube hump looks like a dog taking a dump and I had legitimately forgotten how bad the rocker link is. I've never been a Trek guy and don't think there is anything that'll convince me to be a Trek guy, but the new Fuel is downright svelte compared to the Privateer. Weight? I'm on a Madonna, so not the guy to criticize bike weight. Lol.

8/8/2025 10:59am The new dissector looks pretty good! The side knobs are beefed up and the transition is filled in. The center knobs look highly ramped like Conti Xynotal. Will we finally have a well rounded fast rolling rear tire option from Maxxis? The new DHF v2 + Dissector v2 would be a pretty solid fast rolling setup. Great build and beautiful shots. Looks like we finally have a decent priced aftermarket Transmission cage. I'll be picking up a few because the SRAM ones are made of swiss cheese.
